Bright Creations 20-Pack 12 x 12 Inch MDF Boards for Laser Cutting - 1/4-Inch Brown Medium-Density Fiberboard - Bulk Boards for Painting & Engraving

I took a chance on this for making fish cut outs for a craft fund raiser. Thought I wanted balsa wood or some other wood but they were too thin or too expensive. Husband said, "It's gonna fray bad when you cut it cause it's just cardboard." Turns out it cuts clean, is light weight, and smooth, not too thin or thick, I can make a lot, and it wasn't too expensive. We will be able to paint it, glue on it, drill holes. It's not cardboard, but dense, sturdy and strong, just like wood without the grain. It was exactly what I was hoping for. And it came in 2 days!

Using this on my Ortur LM3 20w and it takes 2 passes to cut without significant charing. Not a big deal, as they are quite nice and durable, just a heads-up that these are not delicate sheets that will cut like butter.

I have been looking for boards inexpensive enough to put on my doors to help with sound going out of my room. So far my family has had a hard time hearing me in my room so I'll take it as a win. They're also GREAT for painting on. Will order more for that. 1 or 2 came with damaged corners but still worth the money.

I agree with all the other reviews posted here. This is solid, sturdy MDF board, perfectly flat and easy to work with. But if you're buying it for use with a laser engraving machine (I use a Glowforge), bear in mind that it is much denser than the draftboard sold by Glowforge. I had to make multiple passes at slower speeds just to cut through it, whereas the draftboard sold by Glowforge cuts cleanly in a single pass. I don't consider this to be a flaw in this product - the company advertises it as multiple-use craft board, and it certainly fits that description. And if you're working on a laser engraving/cutting project that requires stronger stuff than Glowforge's draftboard, this just might be the thing for you. Just bear in mind that it cuts much differently, and purchase accordingly.

I bought these to practice oil painting on, and they are great for that. Sturdy, and a good size for working quickly. No warping or anything. Will buy again.

The boards are cut crisply and accurately, didn’t need any sanding.

For the most part, the pieces are uniform in size, cleanly cut to size and ready for optimum use; however, 5 of the 40 pieces have ragged, uneven or crumbled edges. I will make do with these rather than haul the entire order to UPS or Kohl's for return shipping and replacement. [I did that with another recent/similar order from a different vendor and received the very same wrong item as replacement.]

These are perfect for my art projects! I'll be ordering more. Nice quality, sturdy and non-flexing. Smooth surface.

Excellent! La taille exacte et la qualité que je recherche depuis des mois. Les faire couper dans un magasin qui aurait fait 100 km aller-retour m'aurait coûté deux fois le montant. Ils doivent être apprêtés avant de peindre et ils ne résistent pas à l'humidité, mais ce n'est pas un gros problème.
