Mine is Very Sensitive, But Still Rarely Flashes
UPDATE: In real life, now that I've hung it up, it rarely flashes because I run into it so gently. Also, I back into my garage and the light is not all that noticeable, to my surprise. I have an SUV and didn't foresee that a ball hanging down gets in the way when I need to open the tailgate (because I've backed in). I rigged up a hook on my garage's side wall to secure it out of the way when I need to get into the hatch. That is no fault of this product, just a FYI. All in all, not a bad purchase. Everything's all set, just hang it up with the very long string. I made a knotted loop in my string to secure the excess, so I could adjust the ball's height without climbing up a ladder each time. It did take a little experimenting to hang it just right. Because car windows are sloped, adjusting the height adjusts where and when the ball makes contact, for fine tuning. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I was concerned about the reviews that say you have to be traveling with some speed to set this thing off, but I tried mine by very very gently tapping it against a surface and it went off every time. I haven't hung it yet because my garage isn't ready for prime time, but I am satisfied that this will blink when I gently back into it. I was going to go the tennis ball route but with advancing age :( I thought the light would be helpful. Also I remember it was difficult attaching a string to a tennis ball. I just moved and was going to have to buy a tennis ball, so for just a few dollars more I got everything I need plus it lights up

bright in color and great when flashing
I back into my garage so knowing when to stop is a great thing for me. I had a tennis ball up (which was hard to see at certain times of the day because of my darkened.windows) that I would hear as I bumped into it however when I was tired after a long days work I found that many a time I was backing in way further than what I thought. Now I can clearly see the ball and with just the slightest bump I can see it is time to stop. Works great for me. I also installed one in a customers rental property for one of the tenants. She however moved into her garage extremely slow because I had warned her about exerting so much force on the wall stud due to misjudging when to stop (she is in her 70's). When we where adjusting the ball it only went off once due to this however the bright color was something she could see so she was fine with it only working when she bumped it harder than what she wanted to. All in all, for the price, I am very happy

Works as promised,
I bought this last year and it sat in my garage a long time -- I didn't get to put it up until a month or two ago. Maybe because you need a ladder to get to the ceiling of the garage. I finally decided to take the time put it up and now I love it. It works exactly as it's meant to. I drive into the garage, have it hanging from the ceiling so that it taps on the windshield and the light flickers on. It tells you exactly where to stop the car. I ordered this before I sold my other car and bought a new smaller SUV, so it's not as necessary. I wish I had this when I had my former car which was longer and tighter in the garage. Still, I never wonder anymore if I'm up far enough, and it's fun watching the light flicker for a little bit. It does take some figuring out where to hang it from on the ceiling .

Junk
Bought 2 of these. One doesnt work and the other only lights up when hit hard, not bumped with windshield.

Works as designed.
This works exactly as designed. I did not end up needing it after I purchased it. I had purchased a new vehicle with a much larger wheel base, and doubted I would know when to stop in my garage. Right out of the package, I removed the battery tag and gave it a light tap - worked just as described. I do with the eyelet screw provided was a little larger or came with another option (such as an adhesive hook).

Requires a pretty good bump to make it light.
It's ok for the money but not stellar. Likes: It's large and yellow so it's easy to see/Nice string attached/easy to turn on Dislikes: it requires a significant tap to make it light ... easing into it will not light the light/the eye screw to hang it is small and it pulled out of the sheetrock while I was screwing it in; I had to get a good screw to hold.

Just about the best thing I've bought on Amazon lately
This thing is heads and tails beyond any other parking "sensor" out there. It is the straight-away genius of the simple tennis ball on a string method combined with a flashing light that tells you that you've actually bumped the ball. It's super light - like a whiffle ball - and simple to install. You can install it on your garage door setup if you want so that it's up in the air when the door is down, but honestly it's way simpler to just add a hook to the ceiling if you ever need/want to hang it out of the way because you're working there.

It had already been used (plaster in the thread of screw) and it had about 1m of string not the 2.4m (8ft) that it advertised. Seems to work alright though.

The idea the ball will light up when touched (in my case set for my windscreen) is good, but this feature does not work as the ball isn't as sensitive as it should be. The ball never lights up after touching the windscreen unless you hit (touch) with some force which in my case means I would ended hitting the rear wall of my garage. The only advantage it is has over my old soft padded ball is the plastic which you can hear when it touches the windscreen. This is going back for a refund.

Easily installed on garage ceiling and works very well. We can accurately park the Jeep just the right distance into the garage and it is great fun ( honestly! ) getting the green ball to turn red as it taps the windscreen! Very useful and simple to use.

Cheaply made and looks it. Stopped working after about 5 goes. Worst thing I’ve ever bought on Amazon. Ending up using a $1 tennis ball and getting a better result. Doesn’t deserve one star. Something that should be sold in the $2 shop

Easy to set up .Wife really likes the flashing light when making contact with windshield, makes it easier for her to park in the right place in garage.
