Can I spray this on my rusty door and then apply body filler and primer and paint it? Thanks

Not sure if my response will help. I purchased this product and applied it to flat plates of my lift that bolts to the floor. I didn't follow the directions on prep other than wire brushing away the loose rust, I wiped down the area to be painted with wax and grease remover. The paint adhered to some areas better than others. Eastwood makes great products so if you follow the directions better than me you will have better results.

Would this work on a cast iron burner and stay black?

I don’t think so. Honestly I wouldn’t even purchase it. I have rust coming thru in my trunk that painted with this. 6-7 months of protection and then it’s done.

how bad is the smell and how do you cure it?

The smell is the same as regular old spray paint, and it cures by letting it dry just like spray paint. I found it works best by getting as much of the rust off as possible

Will this work on a stove grate and how hot is it rated?

Probably not stove grate... product rated around 350 ish. Clean grate occasionally with wire brush and apply light coat of quality cooking grease will seal the porous cast iron do not wash with soap and water it just rusts👍
