Not sure why the bad reviews.
I love mine and get a great sound from it. I have 3 different Bluetooth speakers and this is my favorite. Guess I got a good one.

Not worth it.
Not every good sound when using bluebooth and sometimes will not connect to android with the aux-in cord.

Don't Buy Cheap P.O.C.
Don't buy, got it as a christmas gift and broke within a week of opening. The dc power cord would not stay in the light, ended up having to keep because it was past the return period. I would always recommend checking your gift products before wrapping and hanging on to them past the return policy.

If you're looking for a cheap speaker, that's what you're getting.
As this speaker is priced at just $25, I really wasn't expecting much. Honestly I would have given it 2 stars but as $25 bluetooth speakers go, it's actually not that bad. Just keep reminding yourself that you're paying $25 for it and you shouldn't be disappointed. Pros: - The color changing light is neat. It's not very bright and can really only be seen in dim/dark rooms, but it's a cool feature. - The bluetooth aspect is easy to set up and worked for me without any issues. Cons: - It looks and feels as cheap as it is. - Sound quality is terrible. If you're looking for an inexpensive speaker for a kids' room or a gift swap or something, this may work for you, which is why I gave it the three star "it's okay" rating. If you are looking for a quality speaker, you're going to have to spend quite a bit more than $25. So yet again, keep the price in mind and don't expect too much.

Good Wireless Sound
I was really interested in this product for a few reasons. First, because I do a lot of teaching a speaking engagements where I need a portable speakers. I hated carrying around my wire speakers. This is one speakers, no wires and it has better sound quality than my portable wire speakers. The second reason I was interested in trying this speaker out was because I love listening to music or audio books. I have a wireless soundbar I use mostly, however, you can't just pick it up and move it around the house. I can with this speaker. Okay, now for the few things about this product that I don't like and why I gave it a four star. The charging cord isn't very good. I just barely bumped the speaker when it was charging and the cord fell out of the unit. The connection isn't very tight so any movement and out it pops from the unit. I do like you can either charge from a USB or wall outlet, but wish the connection to the unit was better. For me the LED color changing feature isn't a big deal. The only time I actually do it with when my kids are around because they get a kick out of it. Maybe if I was outside at night more I might use it, but this isn't a selling feature for me anyway. Lastly, I hate I have to not only turn the unit on, but then also turn it on to use the bluetooth. Yes, there is an option to plug directly into the unit if you use a device that doesn't have wireless, but I found the speaker still didn't work unless it was turned on for bluetooth. I thought that was a bit odd since the MP3 didn't have this feature and that was why I had plugged it directly to the speaker for sound. I think if there was just the one button to turn the whole thing on would make more sense, instead of a button to turn it on, another to turn on the bluetooth (and it seems speaker for any device honestly) and then a third for the light. Overall, I'm happy with the speaker and have used it almost everyday. I haven't had to charge it yet and it has been a week so it does hold the charge. Of course you can leave it plugged in and stationary if you don't want to keep charging the unit after a few days.

Works well. Reasonably priced. Easy to set up. Sound is good.
This was the easiest bluetooth device I have ever set up. It comes with written instructions that are detailed and easy to follow. There is also a troubleshooting page which is really helpful. But I never needed that. This a simple setup. 1) It took 30 minutes to charge it the device to be bluetooth capable. Charging is easy. Plug it into the wall, and into the back of the device. After 30 minutes its ready to use wireless. Sweet!! 2) I use a Mac, so I went to my preferences bluetooth set up and found the device. Its called "V29." After a few seconds I found it, the speaker made a beep noise after it was paired! And now I am wireless. Unplug the speaker and put it anywhere within 33 feet for sound. If you don't have bluetooth, no worries. The device comes with a cord that you plug into the speaker and your iPhone, iPad, etc and you can seamlessly use the speaker as well. Awesome! 3) The speaker itself is 7 inches tall and 61/2 inches wide. The black base has a soft netting feel to it, and the top is plastic. Not the most expensive material but good enough. 4) Love, love the light feature! The top plastic white part changes color and is quite cool. This is a great feature if you are having a party or a concert and want some ambiance in the room. At night its pretty bright and lights up my living room completely. Love this! 5) The sound is fine. Not like a really expensive speaker system but its good. For the price, I have other speakers that are the same price but the bluetooth feature doesn't always work. Downside. Its plastic. Its not very beautiful but for the price this is a great gift for a child or a teenager. I could see this also in a dorm room. It is kind of hip and fun!

Party like its 1983
I have not the slightest idea what the thinking behind this product was. For the life of me, I can't imagine what group they were targeting. === The Good Stuff === * The unit synced up with Bluetooth to my iPhone with no problem. I got at least four hours of play out of a single battery charge. * It comes complete with an power supply, cable, and another cable to connect between a headphone jack and the unit. * I actually did find the light show somewhat soothing, at least for a couple minutes. It does make a nice nightlight. * The speaker is capable of filling a reasonable sized room with sound slightly above the level of conversation. === The Not-So-Good Stuff === * The sound quality is pretty bad. There is no bass, no treble, and the midrange is muddled and easily distorts. The $15 speakers I use on my computer generate a comparable sound. There is a slight stereo separation, but certainly could be better. * The light show gets boring pretty quick. It is not in any way tied to the music, just sequence of colors. They are not all that bright-maybe the equivalent of a couple of LED Christmas lights. The unit is not exactly aesthetic- it very much reminds me of a giant version of an electric pencil sharpener. * The electronics are a joke. The power plug falls out just be looking at it, and the switches have some strange functions. The unit won't play anything unless the bluetooth switch is ON, even if you are using the aux input. The power switch seems to have some connection to the lights, I think. * There is no muting on the inputs, meaning that if you have the speaker powered up and no input signal, it will magnify whatever noise it can find. * The bluetooth connection is questionable. I use my iPhone to source music to bluetooth speakers all the time with no problem-but with this unit I had signal dropout from three feet away. === Summary === I don't get it. The sound quality is pretty bad, the light show is disappointing, and the quality of the unit itself is questionable. I can't imagine anyone being happy with it. Any self-respecting 6 year-old will laugh at the lights, and anyone older will find the sound quality lacking. I'd say skip it.

Easy set up, great vibe
Loved the optional color sequence that it runs through. Good sound, easy connection via bluetooth with my phone. Couldn't get it to work with my macbook, though. Maybe it's not intended to? Didn't read the fine print.
