I am a very forgetful person, and on so many occasions I have forgotten to bring my locker key for work. Some days I’ve left it in the car and other days I’ve not even taken it from the house! These padlocks are ideal for lockers or doors. They have a nice weight to them and feel like a well made lock. They have a nice firm click when locking in to place. The number wheels are smooth and easy to turn - they don’t stick like others. Changing the combination is straightforward using the included instructions. Simply turn the shackle round to the right and press it down into the combination changing gap. Set your new code and then turn the shackle back round. Takes a minute to change your combination.

Overall these padlocks seem fine. They feel solid and well made, and are surprisingly heavy. They were a little fiddly to change the combination, but it was easy enough and after you've set them once you could probably do it without the instructions. The internal dimensions of the shackles are approximately 19mm x 60mm. The only other thing worth noting is that the shackle only descends into the lock by around 5mm which doesn't really seem like a lot. For peace of mind I'd have liked it to go in further.

I needed a long shackle padlock and this seemed good value for money since you get two. I like the idea of it being a combination lock rather than having to use a key since there is no key to lose. You could also give the combination code to someone on a temporary basis e.g. a workman and then you could change the code again after they have left. It appears well engineered and it has a nice feel / look. It is too early to say how sturdy it is going to be (hence 3 stars / average) - time will tell . Out of the box they look fine for use inside or if they were given some protection outside e.g. by the use of a separate domed clasp or 'padlock saver' which protect it from the weather. I think if left outside unprotected in wet weather they will eventually suffer like other locks I have bought. Padlocks are generally not water-proof (impervious to water) since water can get in the top of locks where the shackle enters the body of the lock. These pad locks are said to be weather proof (resistant to the effects of bad weather, especially rainwater) meaning eventually they are likely to suffer if left out in the rain.

Overall very good lock. Easy to set up and use. But one of my 2 x locks has just jammed. Can't free it. Had to buy another one.

Neither of these felt like they'd stand the test of time. In fact one of the pair wouldn't work at all from the outset, and the other didn't feel like it would provide a safe barrier for my garden stuff. I returned them and Amazon gave a full refund - very quickly - thanks Amazon for a great return and refund process.
