A bit thin and rigid.
I ordered these to replace a previous tire tread pattern soft silicone case that I loved. It protected my phone from many falls and last quite a long time before wearing out. This one is a bit more rigid and thinner than the one I was trying to replace. Also, the other had a lip that covered the bottom 1/4 face of the iPhone 5s so that it did not become loose like a lot of silicone cases. I believe this partial envelope also contributed to the case's efficacy. This case does not have that. I can already tell it has started to loosen and am somewhat skeptical that it will protect the phone like the other since it is more rigid and less able to absorb shocks. I've ordered a different silicone case as a back up.
