I searched and searched for a small, inexpensive light that takes an 18650 cell and also an AA cell. I want 1 for every room, several drawers, shop, and all vehicles. This is about the best one I could come up with.LIKES: *Takes a single 18650 or 1 AA for emergencies. *Very small for 18650 light, slim and "pocketable". *Strong light when focused to maximum beam width. *Lights an entire room fairly well when focused wide. *Tough, quality housing. *Sits up squarely on tailpiece for indirect room lighting. *Also uses 14500 cells, but they're good only for emergencies because they drain quickly.DISLIKES: *A bit expensive to buy 10-12 of these to stash in every room and vehicle. *Has silly "modes", which is a big negative for home use. I need reliability, not gimmicks. There is no need for "SOS" sent from bathroom to bedroom. *Narrow beam is not much brighter and blurry, but that's expected on such a slim light.Really, this is a great and very likable little light. It's about as compact as possible for an 18650 light. A slim reflector makes it pretty useless for narrow beam, because it takes a large lens and reflector to have a strong narrow beam. But that's OK, because I will never use the narrow beam. I wish there were a similar model without "modes" and focus for half the price, I would buy 20 of them. Highly recommended with caveats.

I like this flashlight so much I got 3 of them. (One each upstairs, downstairs, and garage.) I like its build quality, slim compact size, smooth zoom action, and the even, consistent light field throughout the zoom range. No weird hotspots or flares or fringing.Its advertised 700 lumen brightness is not as bright as some other 18650 'tactical' lights, but it is *plenty* bright enough for me, especially considering its small size, and should contribute to longer battery life.A great value at only $10, but you will need to get and 18650 battery for it. Don't use an AA battery, as it is not nearly as bright as with the 18650.Final note - you will also need an external battery charger, as this does not have a USB charging port.

The look and feel of the light is nice. It's a good size and is somewhat bright. The lenses scatters the light too much causing a floodlight effect and reducing its overall brightness and throw. When focused to its narrowest point the beam is still wider than all other lights that I've seen.Make sure to get a good battery and charger. I first thought that my light had stopped working however it was my battery. The battery would seem fine on a simple tester but it's voltage was inconsistent and would cause the light to dim or go out. I replaced both the battery and charger with high quality ones and I haven't had a problem since.

I'm a flashlight addict and had alot of lights. From the most expensive to the cheapest. This is a solid, super bright, easy function features included, strobe, levels of brigtness, and affordble price all built into one screamer lights.Don't be an idiot like me believing expensive lights like S.....fire, strem.....lts, Ol, equates to "Man of Steel" quality. Those days r over because flashight technology is getting so good and cheap ones like this little light has essentially the same latest technology as the expensive lights.The light runnings on AA, 18650 battery. Use the 18650 battery for the brightness needs. The AA useage still gives a solid brightness for most needs. It comes with a insert plastic shell to use with the AA battery because AA is a smaller battery type than 18659 type.If you still on the fence, jump off it and jump on board. You will enjoy it and makes a fantastic gift. I will give updates and pics soon.

Worked great for a bit and then as others have mentioned it will no longer stay on. Tried multiple batteries and it turns on for about 5 seconds and then shuts off. Pretty annoying. Something wrong with the circuitry. Going to take it apart and see if it’s fixable. Otherwise it’s just a waste of money.

Impressive light for the price. Especially considering the adapter that comes with so that it can work with a AA as well as an 18650. I’ve used it outdoors for night hiking and as a bar/club bouncer when I forgot a more tactical light. The beam isn’t as perfect as one you’d pay $50+ for. The body feels durable tho I haven’t dropped it with any frequency or internationally tortured it in anyway. I don’t the flashlight knowledge that some have but I don’t know of another zooming flood to spot under $20 of this quality

Not bright enough to be a tactical light. Everything else as far as features and quality is good. Just not bright at all. Has the potential to be a great edc/tactical light but it just lacking the brightness.

The flashlight is very well made. it's very bright. The sliding focus is one of the smoothest I've every used. On top of that, the brightness of the beam is the most even across the sliding focus range that I've ever seen. There's no bright center spot like many LED flashlights.One of my favorite features is that you don't have to cycle though all 5 beam options (hi/med/low/strobe/SOS). If you pause for just a couple seconds after you turn it off, it will be back at the starting hi setting when you turn it on. I really like this feature. It's a pain in the a** to cycle though with other flashlights I have.This is probably the best flashlight I've ever purchased. I plan to buy more of this model to replace other flashlights. And I'll probably try a couple other models as well.
