Great for Mortar and Thinset Removal!
I had a fairly small area in my master bathroom that needed a few travertine tiles and the mortar removed. I started out using a hammer and a hand chisel (for concrete) but that was taking a really long time. So, I bought this air chisel bit and borrowed a pancake air compressor that could easily be brought into the room. The air chisel was a Campbell Hausfeld brand - a pretty cheap one. Both the tile and most of the mortar came up pretty easily. The mortar residue left over was a bit more time consuming. My video shows how the chisel bit separates mortar from concrete. It's much faster and easier than doing it by hand. The bit vibrates fast enough that you can simply move it over the old mortar with a little downward pressure. Getting the correct angle between the bit and the concrete is the key, however. Overall, I'm very glad I bought this chisel bit.

Decent product. Well built
I bought this to chip up 9"x9" glued-down fake wood laminate tile in my living room. This chisel works great IF you've got a good air compressor that can put out some air. I've got a California Air Tools 8010A 8 gallon 1hp compressor. The chisel worked great, but only when the air compressor was at sufficient PSI. Definitely not the tool's fault. The only thing I don't like about this tool is the angle. I wish the angle was more swooped downwards so you could really get under the tiles. The blade on this tool is double sided. I think if one side was left flat and the angle was more aggressive that you could get under the tiles better. I think that this is a great universal chisel though (not specifically for tile), but like I said earlier - it did GREAT when my air compressor had sufficient pressure (80% of more). I think as long as your compressor is more than 8gals/1hp you'll be totally fine with this chisel.

Excellent tool for removing tiles and grout.
I liked the speed at which the tool worked. It also had a precision cutting ability. I wish I would’ve used this a lot sooner. It made the job go by much faster and easier. My advice is to start with this tool in the beginning of your demolition project.
