Although the quality made is not perfect, but it does the job! I got a pair at home depot, only one size there, so i thought it was universal, and it was too long...this one fits perfectly. Initially i read the review worry about the small bump thing on the side, but it doesnt bother me at all, very easy to slide on. And now i dont need to worry about my window come down when really windy outside. The measurement on this chart is accurate, just have to make sure the size is what you want.

Fit good and snapped right in. Looks a little different than original equipment, and spring seems a little weaker, but it’ll keep the window closed ,so, I’m happy.

The product did fit our windows. And was easy to install (slide the old units out with a screwdriver and a bit light tapping). The latches are sticky--But I manually pushed latch into track and they stayed there and windows no longer want to fall open. So the latches are functional. Neat thing was I contacted Milgard (lifetime warranty on windows) and ordered these parts from Amazon on the same day. A few days later, still waiting for Milgard to contact me on getting replacements. However Amazon order arrived the next day (Prime) after order. Amazon was great--Milgard, not so much. Ordering some more from Amazon to have on hand when the next ones break. ***Update*** I did get a phone call from Milgard support today--Very nice person said that if the next time it takes more than 1-2 days to get a response after submitting a web support request, please call them to get things moving faster. Since I have already the replacement parts from Amazon--I thank them for their help and to close the service request. Anyway--I did order a few more sets from Amazon/here and I have already received the 2nd shipment a few days ago--Simply quicker and easier to do that (and not very expensive either).

I bought these because they looked pretty close to the broken ones in windows of my 8 year old Centex home. Unfortunately they weren't quite the size (1/16 too long and latch too wide). Also the outer case on these was a bit flimsy and not locking together completely, so I decided to just use the internal latch piece in my existing outer shells. It took a little prying to get the older ones open but I succeed. I trimmed the new latch ends down with a razor knife and sand paper, fit them into the old shells, and voila! Okay several trials to voila! but they seem to fit the bill without having to trim the window sashes themselves. We'll see how long they hold up.

This was a perfect fit for my Milgard Classic window that's no longer being manufactured. I contacted a window repair shop and they were able to locate it and order from Milgard but it would take a few weeks and costs $6 per side or $12 a set. This set was $3.97 as an add on item. I did not have to modify it at all. It also looks to be much stronger than what was there. Now I won't have to worry about my window blowing open with the wind which it had about four times in a week due a really windy January. I was happy to find this on Amazon with a quick 2 day delivery for Prime. I now have peace of mind that my window is secured and won't be blowing open for a while I hope.

I have no idea what kind of vinyl windows I have; there's zero markings or any other indication of the brand. When I bought my house, one of the windows had a broken shoe and a broken latch on one side. Getting the old latch out was a complete pain; it had the same nubs like the new one did, but down the entire length of the latch. It took a lot of prying with a screwdriver, and pretty much destroyed the housing of the latch. Installation of the new latch couldn't have been easier. It slid in perfectly, and the nub on the end secured with a nice click. So depending on your window type, this may fit perfectly. Be sure it won't fit before you grind the nub off.

There two tiny bump points on both sides of the latch so that the latch is unable to slid into the window for installation.

I bought this hoping it would fit after taking the measurements...it did not. It's kind of flimsy, the original latch isn't much better. If it works for you great, if not, it's a small price to pay.
