Kicker 46KISLOC2 K-Series Stereo Line-Output Converter w/Remote Turn-On Output

I’m using this in my 2008 civic si to connect my amp and sub into the stock subwoofer wires. The original one was blown, but the original wiring was fine, so I used this to hook up the new amp in the trunk. It seems to be good quality, I haven’t had any weird interference or issues with it. Setup was pretty simple, not too hard to do.

Works great and install was a breeze. Hard to beat for the price for sure. The sound quality is great. Connected to my stock radios subwoofer lines very easily and it’s small enough to easily fit in multiple spots in my vehicle. People just need to remember not to run your rcas with your power line.

Awesome product. Didn’t have to replace the factory head unit in my 2012 Prius V with an aftermarket one just to hook up an amp and subs. Was able to tap into the rear speaker wires that power the rear door speakers by removing the plastic trim between the front and rear doors and run speaker wire from there under the trim to the rear cargo area. This comes with a remote turn on wire too. Works great. Just bec sure to turn your amp gain to minimum first before testing the subs. The signal out of the LOC seems stronger than aftermarket head RCA outputs. Had to turn my gain almost to the lowest setting to prevent clipping. Running a couple 8” Pioner subs with built in mids and highs with the 4 factory speakers off a Centuion 2x100 amp. Set my amp to pass all frequencies and it sounds good.

This works flawlessly with good signal strength and clarity. It will work with most brands of amps without issue. That said from my title, you will be producing more that 4v through your RCA's. Taramps are VERY fussy about this and it will kick the amp into protection mode at higher volumes with lower notes. You can't turn down the voltage/signal strength on this model of LOC meaning IF YOU INTEND ON USING A SMART 3 or BIG BOSS BASS you should look elsewhere to find one with adjustment. Either that or live with nonideal gain settings (improper tuning).

Purchased this product to go with a 12inch SoloBaric Kicker Subwoofer and Amp I installed in my vehicle to replace the factory subwoofer setup. I was recommended to get the Audiofile brand but this one did the job and a much cheaper price plus it let me keep subwoofer amp and loc all the same brand and my setup is HITTIN!!

This LOC is awesome. I've used a couple of them. The 12V remote turn-on output is a game changer when using with a factory head unit. As a bonus which is really cool, you can use the 12V output from the LOC to trigger a relay to power other 12V accessories that you want to come on at the same time as the radio. For example I used the 12V output to not only trigger an amp, but also used it to trigger a 12V relay to power up a standalone carplay screen. This way the carplay screen turns on and off when the factory radio turns on or off. I love this LOC for its simple setup and wiring, but especially for the 12V remote output. When I use these LOC's, I also install and LED push-button switch inline from the LOC to the amp, so that I can completely turn the amp off at the push of a button if wanted (for example to conserve battery if sitting with the radio on in the vehicle but the engine off for an extended period of time).

Works as it should !!! It’s a wee bit sensitive and turns on with a little voltage fluctuation but other then that seems decent.

... war für 10 Minuten schwer enttäuscht, dann bemerkte ich das Remote (blaues Kabel) nur schaltet wenn das schwarze Kabel (Masse) nicht angeschlossen wird. Funktioniert ohne Masse perfekt, der Sub wird korrekt über Remote ein und ausgeschaltet und die Signale kommen sauber am aktivieren Sub an.

Does its job, so far no complaints .
