We have two K-9’s — a 17 lb and a tall 30 lb with legs like a small goat who can shimmy under a sofa with just 6” leeway. Both are rescues and one just would not alert us to go outdoors giving us the task of mind reading. Until we had a better solution, I ordered the best Wegreeco doggie pants and although that worked like a charm, it made our sweet boy very sad. We have French doors so not an easy pet door option. We do have a basement window at ground level so looked for a way to create access. Although a window insert is most often used for cats it seemed the perfect solution for our situation. We purchased a 10.5” x 15” used insert and it arrived in a beat up box which made us tree huggers happy! Hubby had it installed in two minutes flat and we were in business. He says the adjustment mechanism was very easy. Of course the pups were dubious about the new contraption, but we made it a game and within a day they would enter and exit for treats but on the third day these two were happily running in and out when they pleased. Absolutely perfect for us! So grateful for this well made product. Note: Hubs installed the insert in an outside track so the window can be closed with the unit in place because he does things the way he wants. There is a gap at the top that weather stripping could easily fill but we enjoy the extra air circulation.

I’m so excited we didn’t have to ruin a door. We move a lot so this was perfect we can take it with us. I was worried about our windows being so old that this wouldn’t work but it set in perfectly. I had to flop the window around so the doggie door slide could close so it is actually on the outside, it wouldn’t slide down from the inside because the window sill was in the way. Other than that I highly recommend

The media could not be loaded.  Has made my life so much easier! We have French doors to the back yard so it was impossible to get anything else renter friendly. It is weather proof, as we’ve had some spring storms going through a lot lately. Easy to clean. My dogs go busting through sometimes too to go chase a squirrel and it’s proven to be very sturdy.I saw a review that said they feel like this could be kicked in and someone could break in but I definitely even tried when I locked myself out one day and it is fool proofLastly, they emailed me a $30 Amazon gift card for no reason after buying this from the company! The quality was better than I expected for such a low price. It was very easy to install and has been working well. The only issue is that I have to add lots of tapes and insulation foam around the door, otherwise the cold air could get in very easily and make the room temperature drop quickly.

We have searched for the right dog door for us for some time. I love this one. It’s heavy, sturdy and looks built-in. I’m not certain about weatherproof - but the door is thick vinyl with a somewhat heavy magnet. I am certain this has already cut down on our power bill as our (farm) dogs go in and out a lot. I am grateful to not have to cut a hole in an outside door in order to solve this problem, and also that this can be considered somewhat temporary, since it is as easy to uninstall.I installed it in a window on our front (covered) porch in probably 20 minutes, using a bit more insulation around it than was included/instructed. We bought the largest for our biggest dog. Even our smallest terrier can jump through. I do suggest researching and following training instructions precisely, as I can see how a dog could become fearful of something new and possibly develop an aversion to it. Remember too, training takes time and patience. Our young Lab “got it” right away, while our Ridgeback comes only for his favorite treats so far. The smallest ones still need a little coaching.For safety/protection I’ve ordered the sash locks so the window can’t be opened from outside. A plastic cover is included to lock it when I want to keep the the dogs in or out.Overall the quality is great, I’m happy and my dogs are happy. We’ll all be happy for a lower power bill!

It went right in and works great. It keeps all the rain and bugs out of our sunroom.

This was super easy to install and feels nice and sturdy in the window.I did buy some extra foam weather sealant to make sure I had good coverage.The flap is magnetic at the bottom to help keep it as sealed as possible without the cover in place.I like having easy access to the back yard for my pup without having to cut a hole in anything, so I’m really happy for this solution.10.5x15in flap shows it is good for dogs up to 90lbs and my window is 34” wide and this fits perfectly.

My cats love this entryway to their outdoor catio!Took a little encouragement for them to figure it out but even the 20 year old has no problem with it now. Fit my window perfectly with no drafts took 5 mins to install. Worth every penny!
