An easy "No Brainer"...
Like several other reviewers, my service tech identified a bad HVAC capacitor. Tech quoted $245 to fix! NO WAY JOSE!!! I got the part here for $11 and installed it in 5 minutes. It's a super easy/simple "plug-n-play" device. Take the old one out and plug in the new one. It works perfectly, and based on all the reviews, I expect it to last a long time being one of the best (American made). Save your hard earned money! This was a no-brainer.

Matched my old one
We don't know much about capacitors, so when our old blower motor at the shop needed a push to start blowing every morning we decided to see if we could replace the capacitor. Although it was 20 years old at least, we found a perfect match! Solved the problem.

Capacitor installed and it is working fine. It is too early to determine the quality
FAST delivery! Capacitor installed and it is working fine. It is too early to determine the quality, but Expecting it to last for years.

Fed up with foreign manufactured capacitors
I've had pretty much a 100% failure rate within 3-5 years on my 4 central AC systems with foreign made capacitors (4 dual run outdoors, 4 single run indoors). We'll see how these work out in the long run but the two AmRad capacitors that I've bought so far have tested at, or a few tenths above their labeled rating and therefore they've obviously worked fine when installed. They feel a bit beefier vs. a similarly rated foreign cap. Given a microfarad rating, these cans have been the same diameter vs. the foreign caps but these are a bit taller (More oil? Larger plates/dielectrics?). So far the two that I bought fit right in the same holes and the extra length hasn't been a factor. Hopefully that translates to better cooling and longer life. The prices on the AmRad caps is a bit higher than the Mexican and Chinese options but even if they only last another 3-6 months I should still come out ahead. And, I guess even if they don't last longer at least I kept my money right here in 'Merica?

Perfect. What else can I say?
Thanks to my service tech who identified that my HVAC capacitor was slowly failing and putting the specifics on the sheet, I was able to find this item here on Amazon. Tech quoted $231 to fix. I got the part here for $12 and change. Installed in 5 minutes (only because I am always extra careful when working with electricity). Working perfectly. I am very happy to have saved $218 on this simple do it yourself project. Now I would have never been able to diagnose this component, but it was recommended by tech during my semi-annual check up. Win/win.Pictures shows the old one still installed.

It's an AmRad. Basically the best capacitors on the market.
I discovered AmRad from the Turbo 200 series. My dad needed a new run capacitor for the blower in his package A/C unit, and rather than use a whole 60+ dollar Turbo 200, I got him this specific single run capacitor from the same great company.

This capacitor is short and squat, so it fit ...
This capacitor is short and squat, so it fit well where it need to go and is doing its job admirably. Amrad capacitors are the best available, they will not fail in 3 or 4 years like the imports.
