It was sent quickly, works as designed, priced right, easy to add to my system, excellent quality for the price, very quiet, and easy to connect! It’s been ages since I used hitachi drives but their enterprise level drives really deliver! I’m impressed on how smooth it works, and how easy was to connect and use all that extra storage!!! It works cool and hasn’t shown any signs of errors so far! It’s timing in a desktop with tons of pictures, replacing a 2TB drive that now is the backup. I’m used to other brands and had just forgotten hitachi, but highly recommend them based on my experience with this one! Seller packed it very well, sent all the paperwork for warranty, and make all look neat! Kudos! Overall, a great experience with the seller and the product! I found one of these, left over from a previous project. It had operated under heavy use for several years and sat on a shelf for several more years. I found (removing old data) that was still shockingly reliable even after other HDs of the same size and age were dying or dead. So I decided that when I put together my new NAS I use the same brand and type if available. Turns out, with a few improvements, they still sell the same kind! So I populated my NAS with more of these. I was pleased not only with performance, but with the reasonable price! I highly recommend them.

Installed it, formatted it, and it died while I was loading some files onto it for the first time. Started making grinding noises, and I couldn't even run a diagnostic on it.

I use this drive in an external enclosure to download files to it then move them to another location. It has been working very well and has been very reliable since it arrived. As for durability, that is to be determined as time goes by, but I don't expect any issues with that. HDD issues usually show up within the first month of service.

Installed this in my ubiquiti udm pro. It is a little loud but has been working fine for over a month. For the price it is a good deal I would say.

Works great with Ugreen NAS, makes some noise but it is working properly .

They are exactly as described. They are a little louder and run a little warmer then my old Seagate drives, but they are faster. I have has them for a month now, I have had no errors or any issues.

The hard drive comes with a five-year warranty, but failed after two years unfortunately. Would not purchase again.

It’s an enterprise grade drive which is meant for heavy duty read and write cycles. I trust HDDs over SSDs for long term data storage although I use both. This has become my main backup drive and it has tonnes of space for redundancy especially for my older drives and ssds. For longevity HDDs are best, although ssds actually last longer. However, since you need to keep ssds plugged in over time to help them retain data, these issues don’t exist with a sparingly used HDD which only fails when the mechanical parts fail. And I already have an external Toshiba 3 tb that has been running for over 14 years now. Speeds are very good and sound levels are bare minimum . I trust the brand and it’s Japanese so yeah, go for it. Definitely value for money when you consider I paid around 2000/tb for an enterprise grade drive.
