I don't think that any electric blanket will ever have the cord in an ideal spot. The blanket did the exact thing as advertised; it gets warm very quick. The blanket is extremely soft. The size of the blanket was able to cover my whole body wonderfully.I didn't give it five stars because of the cord situation but I do recommend this product

Very good little blanket, but I just wish it was warmer. I put another blanket on top of the electric blanket, and it works perfect. This blanket is becoming a household favorite, so I think when we buy another one, we will go bigger then this current size. Happy with product and would recommend to someone if it’s for one person and put a light blanket over for maximum heat.

This is the second blanket, thought the first had a short. Unfortunately it did not. The blanket warms up good but when is automatically shuts off you have to go unplug the cord and replug in before able to turn back on.

I bought this heated blanket on sale and I’m very impressed. The material is soft and the warming mechanism works nicely. Matter of fact, my daughter stole this one, so now I have to order another one.

I bought this throw a few months ago and it was perfect (red one side/white reverse model), so I ordered another. The new model is red on both sides, of a much thinner material.Unfortunately, you cannot press the button to turn this one on without physically unplugging it, then plugging it back in. The entire switch has been redesigned. It also shuts off in 3 hours.It's so annoying that I'm returning it. You shouldn't have to unplug to turn it on!

Update:The seller reached out to me after posting this review and offered to make the situation right. I have posted many reviews on Amazon, and they are the first seller to attempt to resolve a problem. I sincerely appreciated their customer service, so I upped the review to 4 stars. I am leaving my original review below so others are aware of the way the auto shutoff works, but it's nice to know that a company stands behind their products.Original Review (3 stars):I am mostly happy with this blanket, but there is one thing about it that is annoying. That thing is the auto shutoff. Now, I use this blanket in an office setting and I bought this blanket knowing that it had an auto shutoff. I considered that a feature of the product, because I am a little notorious for forgetting to turn off my blanket when I go to meetings or on my break. I am not annoyed that the auto shutoff exists. I am annoyed with HOW it functions. When you haven't messed with the controls in 2 hours, the control powers down. But then you CAN'T TURN IT BACK ON without unplugging and replugging the blanket back in to the power source. Which is annoying because this is plugged in under my desk. I've tried unplugging/replugging at the spot where the cord connects to the blanket, and that doesn't work either. So I have to either play with the controller every hour to avoid it shutting off, or I need to crawl under my desk to unplug/replug the blanket to get it to work again. Why can't it just power back on with the controller? Why this hard restart requirement? Not worth returning it, but still an annoying feature.

We have a very cold house and choose to use electric blankets rather than run up the heating bill. I got one from Target that works really well and purchased this one for my 8 year old daughter. Well, I couldn't be more disappointed. It barely gets warm. And cuts off often so you have to keep pressing the buttons to keep it activated. My 8 year old hates it and always says, "Mom, it doesn't work!" And tries to steal mine away. We will have to purchase her another one soon as this one is pretty much useless. In addition, it's small. She's just a kid but gets frustrated that it only covers a small portion of her body. It's one of the smallest throws I've ever purchased. I would urge people reading this review to not waste your money. I would not recommend and if we hadn't thrown away the box I would be seeking out a full refund.

okay, so its on my bed and I know it turns off and basically you have to unplug it for it to heat up again. I plugged it into a power strip so that's more convenient is to turn on and off the power strip. The control is not long enough to reach to me so thats kinda irritating that you have to get out of bed to mess with it. The blanket is beautiful and soft and it really does heat up quickly (quicker then any other electric blanket I've had) so if you can deal with where to put the control, its great!!

My 86 year old grandfather loves how soft the blanket is and it's keeping him warm at night. The only concern we have is that he needs to unplug it to work again, for a senior that is not as easy. Any suggestions? We just purchased a second one? It heats up very nice and cozy.. but does a horrible job at staying plugged into the blanket. You look at it the wrong way and it unplugs from itself. This sucks in the middle of the night.. I don't want to be plugging itback into itself and then climbing over my spouse to unplug & replug it into the wall for it to turn on.. it's a nuance.Also, when the timer is off after a few hours, you cannot just turn it on again via the remote. You need to unplug it from the wall, and back in. Again, a nuance in the middle of the night.. I'm just trying to stay cozy in my sleep... not get up.(Safety feature makes it that if it unplugs from itself and you plug it back in, it won't turn on. You have to unplug it from the power source too.)

I can handle that it needs to be replugged in every time the shut off timer goes. However, after using it for 2 days, the blanket just stopped working. Avoid this item and buy a better one.Edited. The seller reached out and refunded my money. They were easy to work with, and I would buy from them again. It wasn't their fault. They were very accommodating.

Great product. Good quality. Very soft and comfy. Heats up very fast and is very hot. The only con is that it automatically turns off but you can’t just turn it on again. You have to physically unplug the blanket from the wall before it can be turned on again.

Blanket will not turn back on unless you unplug it and then plug it back in
