Will Android 4.4.2 allow writing to this device? Thank-you.

My Samsung Galaxy S3 runs Android 4.4.2 and it allows me to write to this Sony micro-USB drive. I just use the "My Files" app and can freely copy/move files around. No problems at all.Accoding to Sony operating instructions, you just need Android 4.0.3 or later.

Will this work with a Kindle Fire HDX tablet to provide extra storage?

i figured why it wouldnt recognize on the kindle fire hdx 8.9 because the hard drive thats in the kindle is an sd card version and android os can only take so much of sd card storage

will my fire hdx 7 (3rd gen.) or fire hd 6 recognize this, and when it's plugged into them, can i play videos that are on the drive?

unfortunately it didnt work for my Fire HD but its almost 2 years old. I even tried using one of the file explorer apps and still couldn't see the files. I'm not sure if it would work for the newer Fire tablets.
