Bought for a young man who isn't the suited and booted kind of business man. Therefore, the shabby chic look of this messenger bag was right. It didn't have the horrendous smell some have reported on here. There was a slight smell of the dye but nothing unacceptable or awful - it is a natural product.Great size for his 17 inch laptop and other office 'stuff'! Only drawback, perhaps, is once filled it will be quite heavy.Given the other messenger bag options of very shiny exec type bags or scruffy washed out canvas bags, for the money this was a good choice.

Beautiful looking bag and very strong. It is on the large size, though, so check the measurements match your requirements. Very pleased with it.

Leather bag/briefcase. This was the largest laptop bag I could find, I'm amazed how small the majority of bags are. Very roomy bag, will fit laptop and accessories plus some books etc. This bag is good quality thick leather, I've had it a year and it's only just worn in properly. Expect it will last a very long time. Very pleased I purchased this one.
