So far, so good.
I had been searching for over a year for a laptop to replace my aging Lenovo Y500 and this one came the closest to checking all the boxes. It's portable, has good build quality, thunderbolt 3, a nice screen, webcam on top (though I don't typically use webcams, I prefer the top placement vs. the bottom placement which is fairly common these days), has a good video card with decent thermals for longevity, and is easily upgraded (motherboard is not inverted or require keyboard to be removed to access RAM or M.2 drives). I have had my Y500 for about 7 years, so longevity is important to me; I'm hoping that the intel-mandated thermal limits will keep this laptop from burning itself out over the years. I use this laptop as my primary computer at work & home, with some occasional gaming. I have tried out GTA 5 & Red Dead Redemption 2 on this and they both ran great on mostly Ultra settings. The fans can get a little loud, but I think that's to be expected given the 2070 Max-Q that it's packing and the need to keep the GPU to </= 75C. My Y500 doesn't get this loud, but it also runs hotter both when idle and gaming. Though they are a small company/brand, I'm hoping that this purchase turns out ok. I haven't heard anything negative about Eluktronics, so I'm hopeful. One thing that I have had a hard time adjusting to though, is the keyboard. While the key-feel is nice, and the feedback when typing is great, the keys are larger than what I am used to and the spacing between the keys smaller than, for example, Lenovo or MSI keyboards. This has caused me to mistype fairly often, but I think if I continue to use the laptop, I'll grow more accustomed to the keyboard. Lastly, I wish it had a numpad... Though this is quite an ask since most "thin and light" laptops forgo the number pad to save space. I feel like if the keys were a little smaller and keyboard shifted to the left a little, maybe they could have fit one. Coming from a laptop with a numpad, it has been a little bit of a challenge adjusting to not having one and I find myself reaching for a phantom numpad often.I had to install some new drivers and updates from their website after purchasing, but that was not too big of a deal. The sound from the laptop speakers is quite a bit better than my Y500 and I'm happy with them, but given the fan noise when gaming, I'll probably be using headphones anyway.Overall, I'm happy with the purchase and throwing in the gaming headset, mouse, over-sized mouse pad, HDMI cable, and RDR2 was icing on the cake.

Almost Perfect Gaming Laptop
Update: 06/11/2020I contacted Eluktronics support and they replaced the laptop due to the touchpad issues. So far, the issue seems to be resolved. I lucked out as the new replacement has no dead pixel unlike the original and the fit on the touchpad seems to be a little better. All in all, the replacement is much better than the original. Also, those who find the power brick to be offensively large, I purchased a Chicony - A17-230P1A which is noticeably smaller and works perfectly with this laptop.Update 05/27/2020:I have been working from home more often and as such, I have been using the touchpad more often than a mouse. Unfortunately, the touchpad works only about 40% of the time. When it works, it works as expected. However, then it "fails" the top half the touchpad is a dead zone. I have reached out to the manufacturer to see if it can be addressed. If I noticed this during the return window, I would have returned the laptop and went with a different option.I will report back if/when this gets resolved.Update 04/02/2020:After about a week of solid use I would like to bring up a few points and drop 1 star.-I found a dead pixel, however this device does not carry a dead pixel guarantee-The touchpad does not have a tight fit and is quite loose. Any amount of pressure on the touchpad results in an audible "pre-click" before you actually press down to click.-Thermal throttling - the device does throttle during loads. I don't typically monitor temps while I use it, but it is noticeable when the frame rate starts to drop due to high temps. A quick stress temps results in thermal throttling almost immediately.I am still happy with the device as you get very good performance for a reasonable price.Original Review:I find myself purchasing a new laptop every year or so and I end up going from ultrabooks to thin & light gaming laptops. I had an Alienware 13r3, Pixelbook, Blade Stealth, and now the Mag-15. The mag-15 checks a lot of boxes for me and I see myself sticking with it for a while.Pros:-Super Light-Keyboard is great (this is a point of contention for many, but I much prefer is over the keyboard on my Razer Blade Stealth)-Excellent battery life-Excellent Screen-Very powerful for its size and weight-Expandable storage and memoryCons:-Power brick is VERY large (to be expected given the performance)-Due to it being so thin and light, the construction is a bit on the flimsy side, but that is to be expected. All in all, I am very happy. I could go into a lot of detail, but seeing others have, I see no need to. If you are looking for a very portable, very powerful gaming laptop, this is the way to go. It’s a decent price and you get a lot of extras with it (headset, mouse, mouse pad, HDMI cable, and a free game).

Great notebook for its purpose, especially for battery life
I was waiting for prime day, but none of the prime day laptops really thrilled me, so I went with this one I had looked at before. I got this gaming computer more for machine learning purposes, but it seemed to check many of the boxes. Thus far the battery life looks excellent and the computer has not gotten so hot. I am impressed by its lightness. There seems something odd about the keyboard in that my fingers don't necessarily come down in the correct places like I type \ a lot and sometimes , and . are also a problem, but I am sure it is something that I will get used to. I got up and running very fast and conducted a zoom conference within 45 minutes of the computer arriving at my doorstep. I am impressed at the factory defaults in that it does not seem to be too laden with bloatware, although when I turned it on having me associate it with a microsoft email which was not optional was very jarring. The one knock against it is that the plug going into the power brick is frequently loose. I think I am charging when I am not charging. I have to give a little nudge to make sure the plug is firmly connected and then it will resume charging. I hope this is not a sign of things to come, but asking for a new power brick might be something I do in the days ahead. It is for this power brick issue that I do not give it 5 stars.Knocking down another start because customer service will not return my email about my charger they supplied me.

Components Dying After just 4 months
I've had this for 4 months and the Thunderbolt port has stopped working. I've reached out Eluktronics support and will update this rating after working with them. But for now, I can not recommend this laptop.EDIT: After about 2 weeks of back and forth with support, the laptop has is on its way to be looked at. Adding +1 star for their support team.
