TVP-60B DIgital Scale with Pole Display, Lb/Oz/Kg Switchable

As an American Legion, we're starting a farmer's market this summer and need a decent scale. I purchased this one because it said it is NPES certified, but I didn't see much in the reviews confirming that. I hesitantly ordered it anyways. First off, the scale arrived in two days double boxed with no damages. Then I called the state department of weights and measures and scheduled an appointment to get it certified. They asked me for the CS code and confirmed that the make and model is compliant with the State Department of Weights and Measures. I just met the inspector today and he certified it. He told me that it is fairly uncommon for a 60lb scale to be so accurate from a factory calibration. In fact, he said a 60lb scale has a tolerance of four fraction points, but this one was within one fraction point. (60.01 with 60 lbs of certified weights)... Needless to say, I was very happy that I didn't have to have a professional calibration performed or have to attempt to do it myself. I've tested it on some miscellaneous items and the price functions are very easy to use. I will also say that I had the foresight to plug it in 24 hours prior to inspection. The internal battery was completely depleted on arrival, but fully charged and ready to operate by the time of inspection. So YES! buy this scale if you need to have it inspected or certified. ... I'll update this 5 Star review if I find that the operation and/or experience of this scale is anything less than exemplary.

Scale is not accurate at all. Would not pass weights and measure certifications pound was 2lb off and kilograms was weighing in pounds. Contacted company and no response. Second on in three years we have had problems with. Do not buy.

I purchased this based off the company profile as well as the reviews. As a new market farmer, I needed something accurate, easy to use and legal. I really enjoy using it and the instructions are easy and clear. the battery life is great. I keep it out all the time to pre-weigh my grab-and-go bags of veggies I sell so customers can have confidence I did my best and had the integrity to get them accurate value for the produce. The one thing that would make this better is if it came with a case that makes it easy to carry. I just transport it in it's box with the Styrofoam molding and that is ok. As a one-woman-band I am always looking for things to help my coming and going at the markets a little bit easier.

I purchased this scale to use in my store. It gets a lot of use! I have to find the tare of a container and then determine the weight once product has been added. I have been happy with this scale since day one for its accuracy and its so easy to use. I have had to call customer service with a question and was very pleased with the help and support that I needed. I liked this scale so much I purchased a second one!

Bought this for a friend who says it is incredibly accurate and loves it. He says it is a better scale than any he's seen around his local farmers markets. This comes in three sizes, and accuracy declines as the size increases, so check the literature carefully to make sure you get the size and accuracy you need.

I have no issues with is scale, but I wish I would have got the pole with it. I called the company where I bought it through Amazon from and they are not helpful in getting a just the pole with the read-out on it. They keep trying to sell me a whole new scale with the pole. The scale works fine. So the 5 star it gets.

Product is great. However it came in a box without much of any padding to protect it during shipping. It was also missing the protective plastic cover it promised.
