I LOVE this thing! I take on every hiking, paddleboarding, random adventure I go on! It has a rubber grip handle which keeps it from slipping out of my hand, and it also has a strap on the bottom so that if you do drop it you're prepared! It extends just far enough that I don't have to worry about it wacking someone in the head. It works well in the water, minus Salt Water, where the cinch screw rusted a little bit. However, that's to be expected! This is a great addition to your go-pro inventory!

This is my 3rd pole for my go pro, and by far the best. The size is nice and compact, fits great in my hiking day-pack. The length is great also, if you're not looking for a 40 inch device. An aluminium tripod mount is included with this pole, however, after a day of use I went back to my old plastic one. It did not hold very well at all. Still, overall great pole and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for something compact with high build quality. Can't beat it.

Pole length is adequate as I chose this for that particular length. Now that GoPro has a super view it wasn't a problem even when extended. Looks appealing and durable and not flimsy. The weight isn't a problem as well. My only cons were the strap below as I couldn't tell if it rusting or at any time going to be detached since the secure hand strap is inside the rubber handle. Easy adjustable pole and machined Gopro top screw.

I've only owned this pole about a month, but I like it a lot. The length is plenty long...I've had the shorter Xsories U shot which was pretty small and conveniently portable, but didn't extend as much as I would have liked, and I think the full size selfie sticks are too big to be carrying around everything. This one is a good nice and good construction and extends well enough. Prior to buying I was very skeptical as I read several reviews about the grip coming off, some reviewers having had it come off at terrible times (i.e. underwater). I wanted to avoid the same fate, so as soon as I unboxed this thing I put the grip to the test and tried pulling it off. Sure enough (with not too much force) the grip came clean off the pole! It's apparent that Sand Marc does not use the best quality or quantity of glue or epoxy or whatever they're using. Anyways I was prepared for the grip to come off, and I re-glued it using some $2 krazy glue, and since then I've had zero problems, and it hasn't compromised the use of the pole at all. I just don't understand why Sand Marc hasn't improved upon this after so many complaints of the same issue. On a separate note, I was also excited for this pole for it's aluminum tripod mount (instead of the standard plastic that comes with Go Pros), since I had a plastic mount crack previously from normal use. However after using the aluminum mount for a few days, I discovered that it didn't tighten as well as the plastic mount, which I think is because the thumbscrew is able to apply some added pressure to the plastic mount, but with the aluminum mount there is zero "give" to allow it to hug the plastic casing of the Go Pro. Maybe it's just mine, but I found the aluminum mount allows the go pro to tilt to easily. Anyways all in all despite those minor issues, I do really like this pole for the price, and I can recommend it and I think you'll like it to. It feels solid in your hand, it's a good construction, and it looks cool too. The wrist strap is very good, better than others I've used. Just have some glue handy :)

I needed a strong lightweight and not ridiculously long "selfie stick" for recording my hikes using my phone. This Sandmarc is easy to use. Lightweight. Strong. The handle is very grippy even when my hands are sweaty or wet. I bought a cell phone holder with an action camera mount to go on the end. Works perfectly !

So the screw for the GoPro mount is flawed in two major ways. First off the nut on the receiving end is not captive. So if you are trying to mount a GoPro while out and about, like say on the slopes snowboarding, there is a good chance you'll lose the nut. Second item is that the black thumbscrew portion around the screw itself is not captive either. Meaning you can spin the black thumbscrew portion and it doesn't actually tighten the mounting screw within it. Best to just use an actual screwdriver than the thumbscrew. Minor item is that for the length, its kind of heavy. Does mean its stiffer than other selfie sticks its size. Which can help with preventing shaky cam. But with the hypersmooth of the 7 or 8, less of an issue.

This pole is the perfect size for my studies abroad. I made a great choice in getting the compact version. It is long enough to take selfies and good enough to fit in your backpack. Sandmarc really does build with nice sturdy materials, so it feels like superb quality and is on the heavy side. UPDATE: My first pole ending up falling apart due to being exposed to salt water many times. SANDMARC was quick to ship me a new pole so I could continue using it abroad. Great customer service!

I have bought at least 25 different selfie sticks and not one have come close to comparison with this one. The grip is great, the locks do not lock up where you can't retract it. (Even after getting in water) I am beyond impressed with this.

Easy to use above and underwater. I have taken it down to 30+ meters without any issues. I have used this model now for four years and just recently purchased a new one for my new GoPro Hero 9. Highly recommended.

First things first - this is not a selfie stick - it's a pole!!! GoPros have poles not selfie sticks! From the moment I opened the box ,this pole had the feel of a quality product - it's well made and solid. The grip is big and easy to hold, it's rubberised, textured and correctly proportioned so as to fit most peoples hands. Compressed the pole is a very tidy 10 inches and won't take up a lot of space in a bag. Extending up to 25 inches it is easily long enough for self filming or for getting over peoples heads. It also absorbs vibration and gives a steady view. The GoPro mount can be removed, revealing a standard tripod mount - this makes the pole very flexible. In addition to the GoPro I intend to use it with a Ricoh Theta 360 camera and the pole should give enough height for great results. When you use any system like the GoPro it's always tempting to stick with the manufacturers own product, but I have found that SandMarc produce some great kit at quite affordable prices. I would definitely recommend this pole to anyone looking for a pole to travel with.

Y para todo en general, pero lo he utilizado para submarinismo y va muy bien. Es pequeño y manejable. Se puede desmontar totalmente para limpiar y secar todos los elementos, despues de lo cual se vuelve a deslizar como si no lo hubieras utilizado. Se ve de calidad y da bastante seguridad bajo el agua. De lo único que tengo dudas es del tornillo para fijar la gopro, temo que se acabe oxidando, pero es facilmente reemplazable. UN AÑO MAS TARDE Sigue como el primer día. Con la precaución de desmontarlo y lavar todas las piezas (ver foto) con agua dulce después de cada inmersión se sigue deslizando perfectamente. El tornillo para fijar la gopro ya está un poco feo, pero nada mas, aun no se ha oxidado y funciona correctamente.

First impression, wow this is quality made. Very strong metal with a very solid feel. good / easy locking mechanisms and has good length adjustment and will fit in any backpack. The grip is a really nice durable and comfortable rubber with a simple wrist lanyard that has a sliding lock on it so you wont drop it. It is all metal no plastic. The only thing that surprises me is that the nut is not attached to the mounting like any other system? being all metal not sure why this is. You might have to be careful not to drop the nut when taking it off, on the other hand if you do you could easily but a pack of 50 at a hardware store for nothing! I highly recommend this pole for action camera users!!!

Il prodotto si presenta, sia a prima vista che dopo un utilizzo assiduo, di eccellente qualità, mi avevano parlato molto bene dei prodotti Sandmarc ma ancora non li avevo mai testati. Il bastone è composto da tre parti di circa 20 cm l’una in alluminio molto leggero e resistente, sono presenti due ghiere di ottima fattura che bloccano molto bene i braccetti. Nella parte bassa c’è il manico in gomma di qualità con ottimo grip, alla base della quale c’è un laccetto per bloccare il bastone al polso, purtroppo non rimovibile ne sostituibile. Nella parte alta invece è presente il perno necessario per collegare la gopro al bastone, anche questo fatto totalmente in alluminio. In generale lo definisco un bastone di alto livello, non lunghissimo (ma questa è stata una mia scelta) ma costruito con materiali di qualità. Ottimo il rapporto qualità prezzo, peccato che non ha il treppiedi alla base.
