UPDATED REVIEW: I have left poor rating because their claim website is not working correctly
UPDATE: 6-16-24 : After I filed the claim, Asurion kept on emailing updates as to the progress of the claim. I noticed that in the small print it offered 'another solution' if I called this number. So, I called and it was obviously an offshore female rep that answered. She was very nice and started reviewing my files and then she contacted a supervisor and then offered a full refund for the entire security system. That was more than I expected, so I agreed and soon received a check for the full amount. I guess I was a squeaky wheel. I raised my score to 4 stars and not 5 because of the stress that was involved before the final settlement. I will continue to purchase extended warranties in the future. I have a simple claim that one of the 8 cameras for my security system has stopped working. But, Asurion has turned a simple claim into a revolving door repeatedly asking for more photos. I think they are overwhelmed by claims and the website is on auto-pilot, asking for more photos. This is bad and feels like harassment. I have over 20 of these policies and am wondering if they are worthless. I want Amazon to offer their own protection plans and get rid of third party policies.

Great and easy
I’ve purchased 2x for a Samsung 65 inch tv and Reolink security cameras both products had to be replaced within a couple years. Both times very easy. Sent in pictures for the tv and was refunded right away. Mailed in camera system and was refunded later that week. Note that you do not receive sales tax back only purchase price. I would recommend if you buy a cheaper but expensive product it saved us a lot of headache. Thank you

A Good Protection plan and worth it
Bought A Btech UV-50X3 transceiver and used it on the 2m/440 bands until a month ago when I started using the 1.25M band which did not function correctly, my factory warranty had expired. Enter Asurion extended warranty. They processed my claim quickly and E-mailed me a prepaid shipping label, but I had to wait a few days until I recieved my toner cartridges to print my return label from where else.... Amazon! Within 24hrs of receiving my radio, Asurion told me by E-mail and phone that my radio could not be repaired. Another notice was sent to me telling me to look for a credit to be applied to my Amazon account to buy a new radio. This all happened quickly within a few hours This credit can be used to buy anything from amazon not just a replacement radio. After mulling it over for a day I bought the same radio over again, just had to pay the sales tax again. Buying Asurion protection plan was a good idea and I would buy it again!

Worthless until Manufacture Warranty expires
I purchased this plan to cover an Ice making machine for 3 years. It broke in 3.5 months and when I called Asurion they said they could do Nothing!!! until the manufacture warranty expired. Their only suggestion was call manufacture. Manufacture after tech by phone failed to help said send it back. Since it was past 3 months by 10 days I would have to repack and pay for shipping to California. Shipping was not inexpensive. Much higher than the cost of this worthless plan. Asurian did not offer and tech support as stated in their policy and they did not connect me to the manufacture. As it was finally determined that a power surge caused the overheat situation and replacement by the manufacture the Asurian policy about Power sure is also worthless since they provided no tech support to determine that this was the issue. I don't even know if this worthless coverage will still be in effect with the replacement machine I am waiting to get. I currently now have 5 active policies with this company thru Amazon and I wonder what good they will be if problems develop.
