Fantastic.
As a .hack fan, I had high expectations for .hack//GU. Since I hadn't yet watched ROOTS, I wasn't sure if I could enjoy it without the background information. Thankfully, it was problem, since important info is revealed when needed. Character development is fantastic, especially on the main character, Haseo. After I finished Redemption, I went back to play Rebirth, and was surprised to see how different he was in the beginning. I hadn't even noticed how much he changed. By the end, I found it difficult to dislike any of the characters, those I hated at first. The gameplay is a significant improvement over the previous .hack//GAME series. Gone is the repetitive dungeon-crawling, forced to fight every enemy group. Most times, you can slide past the enemies. The battle system is engaging and doesn't degenerate into pure button mashing (unless using a rapid-hit weapon, but then, you asked for it). Skill triggers allow mid-battle weapon changes and are shortcuts to use skills. Graphics do not disappoint, however they are not perfect. Character sprites sometimes move in ways a human being shouldn't, and Bandai-Namco's CG scenes are not up to standards set by Square-Enix. Extras serve to customize and to help you get to know your party. Your 'desktop' can be customized with a background and music. Greeting cards can be sent to party members, to which they will respond. In Redemption, you're also given a special greeting card with allows for the Max Affection event - that is, for one male and most female party members that you send it to, a marriage ending will happen. For the others, a "friendship" ending occurs. I suggest saving before you send it; you only get one! Tl;dr: PROS - Character Development is smooth. - Music is enjoyable without being annoying or "just there." - Improved dungeon and battle systems. - Improved equipment system. - Enjoyable extras (Desktop, greeting cards, marriage, etc.) - Plot is engaging and unique. CONS - Graphics could be better - Arena battling may feel repetitive. - A few characters seem "just there." I recommend this game series to any RPG-player or .hack fan for its overall experience.

a Perfect Ending
A Perfect ending to the .hack//GU Trilogy. If you want a video game for sheer action, adventure, and great graphics, I think this game fits the bill, along with its two predecessors. If you want a game with a story good enough to get you thinking, and possibly even emotionally involved, such as a powerful and moving book or movie, I also recommend this game as well. Personally, I highly recommend that you play or at least read a synopsis of the stories of the first two volumes of this trilogy, as all unanswered questions and links are revealed in //Redemption, and the story just clicks and makes complete sense, in this end to an utterly great game.

A Grand Finale
This being the last game of the ".hack//G.U. Series", one would expect it to go out with a bang. You get a decent amount of "bang" for your buck with this game. A TON of new characters to call upon, a plethora of new sidequests to challenge you, and an engrossing story to keep you entertained. That being said, this game, in terms of graphics and gameplay dynamics, is identical to it's predecessors "Volume 1: Rebirth" and Volume 2: Reminisce". While this is not a bad thing, at the same time it would have been nice to see some improvements made to the core game itself. Rather than adding this feature and that feature, they should have focused on evening out the difficulty curve, and working with their localization team, to ease the Japanese-English translation (there are moments in Volume 3 that are reminiscent of old Bruce Lee films, unsychronized dialogue in places it shouldn't be). While these things don't make Volume 3 a bad game by any means, one would hope that by the third game in the series, that CyberConnect Corp (the creators of the .hack series in general) would have learned from their mistakes with the previous games. A good game overall, that I would recommend to any RPG fan out there.

Another great phase.
This has to be one of the greatest series I've played, I love how the game is clean and came with almost everything, spare from the case, but that's no big deal. It came on time, and in a condition I try to keep my own games in. It was perfect I would recommend others to get their games from this person/group.

-Just Familiar, Still Great
.hack//G.U. Vol.3 is just the same as Vol.1 & Vol.2. there are differences such as servers (home address you use) & other things (no spoilers) but overall just the same. This game is about the Final .hack//G.U.; its a great game, so if your a fan of .hack this is a game you dont want to miss.

good quality for a used game.
For a used game it met my expectations. Somewhat playable the audio is off but other than that the game is pretty good.
