These snowshoes are amazing.
I've been wearing these snowshoes 6-8 hours a day, 5 days a week, for the last month in the woods. I've used them in everything from 30" of powder to 1 ft of slushy snow and I am really impressed. The traction and float that these shoes give you is incedible.I also bought the tails which helped out a lot in the fluffy stuff. My pair definitely show some scratches and wear but they have yet to give me any issues. The only downside I found was that the original toe straps wouldn't fit over my size 13 boots. I ordered the replacement strap kit and used the longer heal straps in place of the toe straps and that eliminated the issue. I would definitely reccomend these to anyone looking for a durable snowshoe to use in varying terrain.

Very nice snowshoes!
Very easy to use and comfortable to wear . I was a little worried about the ratchet system that binds the snowshoes to the boots being susceptible to ice and not working properly. I've used the snowshoes several times where the ratchet system have gotten coated in ice and have had no problems with them breaking free from the ice to either tighten the snowshoes up or too take them off. Keep in mind that the ratchet system isn't exactly user friendly with gloves on, so you will have to expose your fingers and hand to cold weather when putting them on or taking off. Other than that I would highly recommend these shoes!

Very good snow shoes.
Took them out this weekend and they worked great, The bindings were easy to adjust and easy to get out of the shoes. The bindings did not become lose so no re-adjustment was needed. They have a good grip and are light weight.

Fantastic product
Love these. Had old style wood n rawhide that were heavy and clumsy. These were like having running shoes on. We live on a mountain, snow can pile up a foot at a time. I'm not in the greatest athletic shape but try to walk at least a mile a day. These were quite, lightweight, kept me on top of fluffy new snow, and kept me from sliding down the hill. They seem to be very durable, can't wait for winter to use them again.

These are by far the best snowshoes I've ever owned
These are by far the best snowshoes I've ever owned! Living on the shores of Lake Superior I have used many different brands and styles of snowshoes. The MSR Revo Explore beats them all. The easy-entry cradle and fast two-strap ratchet system works great, making putting them on and taking them off a breeze! The Ergo Televators make climbing steep terrain so much easier and the aggressive perimeter teeth of the crampons give these snowshoes excellent traction.

Front bindings very uncomfortable
I had a great recommendation from a friend on these but the pair I got have plastic front bindings with a pressure point that digs right through my fairly heavy winter hiking boots right onto my little toe, both feet. I don't want to risk the bloodied/bruising reported by another reviewer so have returned them.

Great snowshoe, bindings probably not designed for regular boots.
Usually, MSR products are designed well and very thoroughly. However, in my opinion this only applies to half of this snowshoe, which is the deck. The aggressive frame and plastic decking do a very good job of gripping the snow. This is true of all of the Revo snowshoe models. However, the HyperLink binding just doesn't do it for me. As others have said, because there is only one forefoot strap, these snowshoes are not very comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. This system may have been designed to be used with heavier winter footwear, such as a rigid mountaineering boot or a ski boot. Because these types of boots have a more rigid shell, having only one strap in the forefoot may not put as much pressure against the outer toes of the foot. In addition, the undersides of the buckles in the forefoot have a very aggressive texture that could damage leather boots after extended wear. I ended up buying the MSR Revo Ascent Snowshoe, Red, 22-Inch which uses the classic PosiLock binding, which I find way more comfortable. I would rather trade the faster donning of the Explore for the comfort of the Ascent bindings. In addition, as others have said, it would be very easy to repair the PosiLock binding in a pinch if necessary.

Fantastic Shoe with So So Bindings
Look...I only rated it as "okay"...but you need to know the story. These shoes are actually awesome. The platform is light and buoyant, and the frame is amazing for traction. The only thing to consider, and that's in question, are the bindings. I got these 1st week of January and immediately started using them. As long as the trail was not challenging they were okay (again...meaning the bindings). But on the long hikes with deep snow and aggressive terrain the bindings hurt. Since there's only one strap on the forefoot you have to synch it down tight so your foot doesn't float around. That creates hot spots on the sides of the foot where the binding pad touches the boot. I returned this pair and exchanged them for the Revo Ascent model. The bindings on the Ascent are the original used for years now. For me there is a night & day difference in the feel, comfort, support, and overall feel of the shoe. It inspires more confidence in tackling the steeper climbs and also in descending. My son bought the same shoe (Revo Explore) and yesterday on our descent he had to remove them before we got back to the truck because he foot kept sliding forward and his feet hurt from the hot spots. I don't know if the bindings on the Explore model will affect everyone the same way. I only know the difference for me now...and it's huge. If you're considering the Explore I think the Pro is the convenience of getting in and out of the bindings faster...the ease of use. But if you're a serious hiker/shoer then get the Ascent. It has the exact same platform with a slightly longer crampon but with amazing comfortable bindings that just flat out work. Hope this helps.

Sehr guter Einstieg mit dem Bergschuh möglich(Salewa Rapace GTX). In jedem Gelände perfekter Halt, kein Rutschen. Steighilfe leicht ein und auszuklappen. Das Produkt tut was es soll, bedingungslos, bin sehr zufrieden.
