Checkers Set in Folding Wooden Case - 100 Playing Field - 15-1/2''

This is the best checkers game ive ever owned. 20 pcs per side. 5 more pcs per side than standard checkers. More playing time per game. The quality is very nice also. Hand made. No child labor. And made from sustainable forests. I also have the chess set made by the same maker. It is also amazing quality.

I have bought many games online and disappointed at the size of the boards. You virtually need a magnifying glass to play on these boards. This board is so well made and sturdy. It's the normal size for a board game which is hard to find anymore. Also, as a kid, I played 'DRAUGHT' (CHECKERS to many here) with 20 squares. This is the international version. I have searched for years and finally found one. It is easily stowed away and locked to carry on a trip. The pieces fit neatly and tight in place in the wooden box frame, so they won't fall out or get lost. Only negative I have is that the game surface itself is the outside of the board game and so may prematurely wear out with time. I wish it had some kind of protective coating or cover. However, it looks very rugged and well painted in and time will tell. I like this so well, I am getting a second one. I wish other international games like LUDO, SNAKES AND LADDERS, WHOT etc. would not be made so miniature in size. Still looking for a good sized WHOT card game.

First be aware that this is not an 8x8 American checker board, but a 10x10 board for International Rules. The board itself is good solid wood and well made. The felt on the back of the pieces is unnecessary, prevents easy stacking for kings, and is glued carelessly. The insert that holds the pieces when the case is closed is loose and falls out. Not a big problem, but annoying. All the defects I observed are easily corrected by the purchaser. I enjoy using this board. It is easily stored, requiring little space.

The board is very nice. The checkers are ok, but I do like it. That's why I only give it a three. I would buy another one if I needed one.

Came quickly, Product was as expected from reading other reviews. Didn't want to spend a lot on the checker game to play with the grand-kids. I like to take it with me when I visit the kids. Our girls are ages 4-8 years old. The game folds for transporting and the pieces fit inside so none will get lost. As they get older we may consider another game board but this is perfect right now. These Grandparents would give this game board a thumbs up for our early grade school girls.

The whole thing is quite cheap. The wood is very soft. The "men" are quite small, and do not stack up (for "king") properly. There was an extra black, and one short of white. I hope I can return it. I did not really want a 10x10 board but did not realize what I was getting.

This is a nice wooden set. Pretty surface. A couple of the checkers have minor imperfections & being wood do not have the little ridges the plastic ones have that make "kings" easy, but it feels more handmade than mass produced. I like that it isn't made in China & is renewable woods. The inside has plactic with felt holes to hold the checkers. Maybe that seems a little flimsy, but again, for about $20 this set is really very nice.

This board feels solid and playing with it is a pleasure. I love the International 100 squares size. I started playing with my 6 years old son and he loved it as well. I am sure this is a board he will enjoy for a long time.

I like that the pieces store inside of the checker box. Less chance of losing the pieces. It arrived on time and in great shape. I would recommend this set.

It was a gift

Nice wooden board. The latches are bit flimsy but if you don't beat on them they should last. The felt liner for holding the pieces is great. Great buy for the $35 that I spent.

Very nice set. Though I replaced the pieces with some that stack better. Not crazy about the felt on the original pieces, cheap and not well placed, plus do not stack well. Easier to move if they stay together.
