A Great Ultraman Series from the modern era!
Ultraman Geed was released just recently in Japan and now we have it in America via the fantastic Mill Creek Entertainment Company on Blu-ray. It's one of the best series in the modern Ultraman shows and stands out because the main characters father is an evil Ultra Warrior named Belial who tried to destroy the Ultramen homeworld of M78. I highly recommend this series to buy because it has great characters, stories, and a great opening song. Plus it's very inexpensive. This title won't break your wallet. Buy it!

No audio...
Bought this blue ray set for my son as he is an Ultraman fanatic... highly disappointed that there is literally no audio period! Not the first sound effect or anything just subtitles... *update* must be played on a blu-ray player or gaming console that is internet compatible to receive audio. Played as expected in PS4 gaming console hardwired with internet.

The great saga of new generation ULTLAMAN
This story is the final chapter of long saga, the conflict between Ultraman ZERO, son of Ultra SEVEN and great evil Ultlaman BELIAL.So I recommend you to see the tales of Ultlaman ZERO that will be released frow MILLCREEK Entertainment on 2020 summer. But of course you can really enjoy this emotional story of young hero's growth, by watching only this BOX.I really love this!

Good addition to the Ultraman legacy
Good series with fun characters. Some nice twists throughout the story. Movie is a nice follow up though Geed seemed to take a step backwards compared to where he ended the series at. This wasn't a bad change just felt a bit weird. Definitely would recommend for any Ultraman fan.

Blood of Belial, Heart of an Ultra.
Ultraman Geed is the 29th season of Trsuburaya's Ultra series. Belial, the evil Ultraman, was on the verge of destroying the universe before being stopped by Ultraman King. Years later, Belial's servant sets about collecting the Little Stars (energy spheres that form inside people) to revive his master. At the same time, 19-year old Riku Asakura discovers that he is the son of Belial, setting out on the path to becoming a hero with the aid of his friends. The main characters are as follows:Riku Asakura - A good-natured young man, Riku is (unknowingly at the start) the son of Belial. Using the Geed Riser and the Ultra Capsules, he turns into Ultraman Geed. However, due to his youth, he can be quite childish at times.Pega - A timid and gentle juvenile Alien Pegassa, Pega is Riku's best friend and roommate, living inside the young hero's shadow.Laiha Toba - A stern young woman, Laiha is a skilled martial artist and swordsman with a vendetta against Kei Fukuide. She met Riku while preventing an Alien Dada from abducting a Little Star holder, becoming the young man's first informant on Little Stars.Leito Igaguri/Ultraman Zero - Leito is a mild-mannered salaryman with a wife and kid who became the human host for the dimension-hopping Ultra, Ultraman Zero, after trying to save a kid from getting hit by a truck. While he would prefer to stick to doing paperwork than being dragged by Zero into the latest fight, Leito will step up to the plate when needed.Moa Aizaki - A childhood friend of Riku's, Moa is a member of the Alien Investigation Bureau (AIB), a secret organization that includes humans and aliens to protect the Earth from aliens and monsters. Cheerful but klutzy, Moa is the heart of the AIB. She also has a crush on Riku, though he is too oblivious to notice.Kei Fukuide - Belial's servant, he is seeking the Little Stars to bring about his master's return. Using monster capsules and his own version of the Geed Riser, he can either summon monsters or become a fusion of them.I found the show's strong point to be its consistent tone. A problem I had with Orb was how its early episodes were more comical before finding its stride and learning how to balance the comedy and its drama. I didn't have that problem with Geed. Also, Leito's actor is just magnificent! In a heartbeat, he can switch from Leito being his timid, bumbling self to Zero taking possession of his body and commenting/acting on the current situation. However, my biggest problem with the series is how it rehashes a lot from its predecessor, Orb. From Geed's forms being fusions between two Ultras, the abilities of the forms, and how the villains use their own versions of the hero's devices to further their plans. It probably would not be much of a problem if you haven't seen Orb before watching Geed, but I did and it hampered my enjoyment.Included with the set is the movie "Connect the Wishes". Across dimensions, robots known as Galactrons are trying to exterminate all life. To defeat the Galactrons and their AI master, Gilvalis, Riku and friends head to Okinawa to find the Red Steel, which said to hold the power to defeat Gilvalis. There, they are reunited with Zero and team-up with Jugglus Juggler and Gai Kurenai/Ultraman Orb.Compared to Orb's movie, I found "Connect the Wishes" to be better paced. I didn't grow as bored of the fight scenes as I did with "Let Me Borrow the Power of Bonds". It's was also nice that the movie serves as a follow-up to the Galactron episode of Orb, revealing their origins expanding on their lore. The miniature work done for Okinawa is also quite beautiful and we are introduced to a new good Kaiju by the name of Gukuru Shisa. My biggest problem with the film is Riku's newfound rashness. While I understand what the writers were going for since Riku is the only Ultra native to his part of the multiverse, meaning he would have to defend Earth by his lonesome unless another Ultra happened to be visiting at the time and thus would be feeling a large amount of pressure from his responsibilities, it just felt a little forced to me.Overall, I quite enjoyed Geed. While it rehashes aspects from Orb, it still does enough to differentiate itself from its predecessor while bringing the Belial arc of Ultraman history to a close. I also enjoyed its theme of our actions determining who we are and not our heritage and thought it was handled well.
