Aura Outdoor Products AOP-TPT-A Non-Digital TPT Tel-Tru Temperature Gauge Thermometer for Big Green Egg, Kamado Joe, Primo

I bought this for use with my Primo oval xl to replace the factory probe that was never very accurate. The difference between the 2 is night and day, straight out of the package I tested it in boiling water and it was dead on. It fits perfectly into the existing hole in the older Primo's (no need to widen it with a drill like some of the other replacements seem to require) and the temperature has been reading more or less the same as the digital probe that I was using as a test for it. The small differences is probably due to the different locations of each probe.I would absolutely recommend this to anyone that wants to upgrade the factory probe on their grill.

Works ok, but almost immediately I got condensation under the glass. Doesn't seem to affect it, but I suspect it will.

Great replacement thermometer for my Big Green Egg. It’s exactly what we needed and looks like it’ll perform for years to come.

Received and checked the calibration. All was well. Works as advertised. I expect it to work as well as the original, 20 years!

So far so good! Calibration and installation of this thermometer for our large Green Egg was a piece of cake. We've only grilled once and smoked once since, but everything appears to be working correctly. Seems to be equal in quality compared to the original thermometer that kicked the bucket...but 2-3 times cheaper. We're happy!

The fitment on this is great with my large green egg. Have yet to fire it up.

After only a month, it has fog under the glass. I suppose I could have been the cause but I had my last thermometer for 10 years. I'm careful. I'm disappointed in the durability. It's past the return window so I guess I'm screwed

I bought this for my BGE to replace original one which I accidently broke. It's very accurate and easy to read. I like being able to read Fahrenheit or Celsius temperatures on easy to read gauge.

Initialiy worried it may not work as well as Tel-Tru since it does not have the Tel-Tru branding. Upon installation and firing up the grill, the thermometer works as well as a Tel-Tru. Temperature is spot on.Aura = Tel-Tru.

Exact product sold for $85 plus tax at the barbecue stores. Good deal.
