Sharwood's Mango Chutney, Ff, Major Grey, 12.5 Ounce (Pack of 6)

It's been a while since I bought chutney. I can't find Crosse & Blackwell's anywhere, and was hoping this one was close enough. It is. I had previously tried another chutney on Amazon and it tasted better than this one - I like chunks rather than a complete paste - but was over twice as expensive. The six pack should last me a while too.

I lived and worked in India and England. I've had chutney and Sharwood is the gold standard. The others like Patak and designer chutneys are expensive and leave a bitter taste. Unfortunately, Patak has taken over most of the supermarket shelf space from Sharwood. The only Sharwood complaint I have is because of limited access the price of Sharwood has shot up and their customer service is non-existent so finding it in stores is difficult.

This will add to our festive Christmas dinner and it arrived in excellent time and condition!

It's the PERFECT compliment to my spicy chicken curry and the best mango chutney I have ever tasted. It has the perfect ratio of sweet to tangy and is not spicy at all as that is the point; to offset the spiciness of the curry dish. I won't eat curry without it!

The paging was huge for 6 small bottles. What a waste.

I have been using a variety of mango chutneys for many years, but the Sharwood Chutney is by far my favorite hands down! Why it's so pricey is beyond me, but I still buy it because I love how it improves the taste of so many kinds of foods, from cheese and crackers to certain rice dishes. I love it.
