Support 1080p 120 hz?

My laptop has a micro usb port. i have a micro usb to hdmi converter. will this work if i plug it into the hdmi end of the micro usb/hdmi converter?

Agreed, it should work, and in theory it would have no signal loss. But don't go fiddling with the connectors too much or you might break them. I've broken many an adapter doing this sort of daisy chaining.

I want to connect my switch to my PC monitor by the monitor does not have an hdmi slot on it. Will this work for the job?

Yes it will. In my case, I bought a new 32" monitor. It uses HDMI. But my video card is older and uses the DVI connector. This is what I ordered and it solved my problem.

is this hdcp compliant?

It is made in China (like almost everything else these days). The package says it is a "high speed" cable, but it does not say it is HDCP compliant, so I have to suspect that it is not.
