Update: 3/19/16- silicone finally began to bite the dust, nearly a year later. The case failed on the side, right over the power button. I purchased two replacement cases because the case is going out of stock in red/black. The cases that arrived for well and the display shields are not damaged.The plastic case that snaps around the phone remained strong. I will absolutely be looking at other cases from this company for upgraded models.Original review- The first thing I will say is that I am a big fan of a different highly respected case maker because I trust them with my phones and tablets. This case is great, but not fantastic. It is not the same quality.I like the case because it fits properly and all of the buttons work. The case was easy to put on my phone and it fit snugly. The outer case texture is pleasant and will keep my phone from jumping out of my hand. The inner hard case has a cover for the screen and a lip that will help prevent the screen from slamming into the ground. Snapping the inner case together was easy.An odd thing I noted was the flap that opens for the charger to connect to my phone is backwards. I prefer it to open to the back, this opens to the front. Minor, but it is not as pleasing as a rear opening flap.The second con I wanted to note is there is not much padding inside the inner case. The outer silicone layer seems spongy so that will help with the impact. I made the choice not to drop my phone to test it. *wink* I am 90% sure this will protect my phone. I mainly only drop my phone when I have no case because the newer phones are thin and slick, made just perfect for launching. (Who thought up this design? Put some texture on these thin things!)WARNING: I wiped the inside screen protector with a soft tissue and it caused scratches on it! I have come back on 5/22/15 to update this review and remove a star. A Kleenex should not have caused such marring. I will try to take a photo to upload it.I don't use the belt clip that was included, I dislike those clips and prefer a holster style case purchased separately. This review does not review the belt clip!

Well, 1st impression was , "WTF, this thing is a monster!!". It does make the phone look bulky and huge. Especially with the belt clip on it, which I will never use. Actually, I tossed the belt clip. It makes it look like you have a flat screen TV on your belt, lol. The plastic part of the case looks and feels cheap. Like one of those snap together plastic models. But, the rubber over that makes that not so bad. It does provide nearly 100% protection of the phone, and even though the plastic part doesn't provide shock type protection, the rubber part does. And like I said, it does make the phone seem larger and bulky, but after I installed it, I can hold it better now than I could without it. I found the phone was awkward to hold, but not so much with the case. I can actually hold on to it better. It's ok after the initial shock of the size of it. I would buy it again.

Have a kid that frustrates u and just will not leave the case on their phone. Fear no more as u can see in the picture it fits extremely well, and requires tools for removal. I kid u not! Want it to stay on the phone, it will, I have to use a pair of dog clippers and a pair of scissors to get it off the phone. Don't know about the water proof, cuz I don't want to test that. But if it ever does fall into water I'll update.

Great for protecting phone, the included screen protector bowed out considerably. I removed it & put a gorilla glass over the phone, It worked perfectly. My daughter is pretty rough on phones, so it's been about six months now, the inner hard shell has cracked, we're on our 2nd gorilla glass screen protector- so far the phone itself is in great shape! I give this one a 4.5 rating - for the included screen protector not functional.

This case does the job for the most part. You truly get what you pay for. It's an inexpensive case and the inner plastic shell feels very lightweight. Unfortunately, the hole for the headphone jack is not quite large enough to get a headphone plug into. If you use your phone to stream music using the jack instead of bluetooth, don't get this case.

When case is on you have to press super hard for the volume and power buttons to work... ALSO even with extra touch sensitivity on i have to press super hard on my screen for it to work because of the thick plastic cover.. OTHER THEN THAT good quality design

I have been using this for 3 months, I really do like it overall. Simple to assemble, and very well made. Now the rubber tabs on the sides flip up every now and then but that's not a big deal overall. And the attached screen protector while useful is slightly large and affects the way the touch screen recognized touch, again really not that big of a deal since I am still using months after purchase.

At first I thought this product would be awesome being that I previously had the Otterbox for my Iphone, which by the way four years later still covers it very well. I am very disappointed because the rubber cover on this Galaxy S4 Otterbox has stretched leaving a bubble on the the back where it should be flush against the case. It now continuously peels away from the case and all of the little flaps pop open at the least bit of handling. I am frustrated with this product and this was a replacement as a few days after I ordered the first one, the screen protector became foggy looking. IDK
