this is the second set of these batteries, well worth the money,

I've had these 3 month and can confirm they outlast the 4ah by about twice. only down sides are they weigh a little more so overhead drilling etc is more strain ( to be expected ) and they can overheat and stop working as they did when using on my ripsaw to rip up wet 8x2. once they cool down they work again so clearly a safety feature for the battery cells. so maybe a good thing for over all battery life. they work in all my 18v tools including my wet/dry hoover.

good power until 60% left, then the power drops off as if the battery is dead, you can get a refund if you can find a courier that will take them…

Got about 6 of these some I had for 2 years work fine on drills impact drivers also use one for Dyson with adapter and leaf blower strimmer not had any issues they have percentage digital charge display which handy

Great standby battery or for lesser power hungry tools... In impact drivers or tools used here and in the day they're well worth the money.. for the more power hungry tools, you need the real thing!.

These batteries are great, they charge very fast on a DeWalt specific charger, hold there charge for ,in my estimation, a significant time slot ,all dependant on what work is being carried out of course, I've had them empty of charge and within less than 15-30 mins, fully recharged,can't go wrong with a few spare one's in the tool box.

Compatibles get a bad rap but this brand was recommended on a forum so I took the plunge. I put one in the charger and it gave a temperature warning immediately. Reseating did not help. I checked and the battery terminals seemed a bit wrong compared to a genuine so I tweaked the contacts very slightly with a small screwdriver and things were much better - no more thermal warning and it charged perfectly. Took a while (they are 9Ah!) but charged to 100% according to the on-battery digital charge monitor. Their first serious outing was yesterday in a "hedge cutter vs overwintered bramble thicket" showdown - max stem size about 3/4inch and 10 feet high! I must point out that I didn't expect much so I had both charged batteries and a genuine 5Ah to hand ... I hit that bramble hard, very hard. The battery didn't hesitate or get hot, there was no lack of power, all was great. I used it and abused it for a full hour and the end the battery still reported 88%! I have no reason to disbelieve that figure as the Dewalt DC8118 fast charger thought the battery was fairly well charged and only took about 15 minutes to fully recharge it. To summarise: I'm happy. The product does what it says on the tin. The battery does not get hot, delivers good power and long charge life. Longevity and reliability? Can't say yet but I'm hopeful.

Great price and value works well with the DeWalt mitre saw and other dewalt tools seems to hold it's charge quite well also chargers with after market or original charger's
