Definitely worth the price
I am new to wet shaving, and this is the first shaving soap I've purchased. I couldn't be happier with it. I got it on the recommendation of someone I met in ab shaving forum, and I balked at the $16 sticker price. But in the end I decided to give it try. I've spent $16, less wisely before.First the scent is amazing. It smells like a burning fireplace and is understated and does not linger afterwards, so I can use any aftershave without the scents clashing [but the scent is so pleasing I wish RMBC would make a post shave balm in this scent. After having watched only one video on how to build a lather from shaving soap, I started out last night for the first time. Even though I'm sure my technique is not honed, within about two minutes I had a brush and mug of lather a bit thinner than Barbasol. The lather crashed just by rubbing my brush under the faucet for a few seconds then squeezing out the excess created enough lather for multiple passes. But since I use a cartridge razor rather than a DE Safety razor, multiple passes are not necessary for me. But if you are doing multiple passes, then you would not use any more of the product than I would.Because this lather is thinner, it is much easier to rinse off. With an canned shaving cream I have to rinse off the razor head front and back and tap it on the side to get it unclogged. With this I can just swish it around the water in the sink and give it a sturdy shake before going back to shaving.I have to shave every day for work, and if I'm going out in the evening, I shave again, so I'm easily shaving ten times a week. I purchased this on October 12, 2019 and I'll update this review when I have to reorder.

Perfect
FYI, I'm a woman using this for legs along with an old school safety razor. I am so tired of horrible chemically smelling shaving stuff so tried this. I'm quite sensitive to smells and even some natural smells will bother me, but this sounded like something I would like. It's not overpowering at all and is very pleasant. Lathers up nicely - I don't have anything to compare to since this is my first time using shaving soap, but a little seems to go a long way for me lathered up in a bowl and works just as well as anything else I've used, and it rinses off nice and clean and easily. Also a selling point for me was the nice tin - if I can, I would rather buy a tin than a plastic container. If there are refills for this I'm not sure but that would be pretty cool too. Either way, would recommend this product.

Performs really well, but watch for a reaction
The soap produced a very thick, slick lather easily that gave me a nice close shave. I'd been shaving with Proraso for the past week, and with the same razor the RMBC gave me the closest shave I'd had all week. The only issue I had was that the cinnamon leaf oil caused a reaction with my skin that made it red. But, it wasn't painful and aftershave calmed it right down, so I wouldn't stop using it. The scent is mostly orange and cinnamon, and smells really good. I'd definitely recommend it, with the reservation that if you're sensitive to the cinnamon, you might not be OK with the outcome.

Great value.
I shave 2-3 times a week. This small tin can has lasted me for about 2 years. It doesn't take much. You don't need to slather a ton of this on your face. Of course I'm a bit frugal when using toiletry products because I don't like having to deal with replacing the items.

Great after sale service.
I have a few different products from this company and they are all great. With this particular shave soap I had a problem with my skin showing an allergic reaction. I wrote to Rocky Mountain Barber company and they responded immediately with an apology and also gave me a full refund. Although I had a problem with this product, I had great after sales service from them and therefore I can recommend Rocky Mountain Barber company.

Great shave products for the traditional shaver
After reading reviews on many shave forums, I decided to try out rocky mountains shave products. After using two of the three soaps I'm very impressed. The lather is thick and rich when lathered in a bowl or scuttle. Slickness and cushion was high and I had no irritation after a 3 pass shave using a parker 97 heavyweight razor with my standard lord platinum razors which i use for every shave soap test for consistency. I think rocky mountain has produced a great product. I do prefer a dense soap puck like the cedar spice over there creams and I hope to see more pucks to be available in the future. I do like their creams but prefer pucks.

Good stuff, no scruff. Smells like a Hallmark store.
This is a very unique product. I prefer shave cream to soap, but this is by far, the best soap I've tried. It takes a bit of practice to build a thick lather. It also takes a few shaves for the soap to loosen up. However, its smoother and less irritating than TOB, and doesnt strip your skin dry. I have sensitive skin and don't have irritation issues. The cinnamon and orange peal scent is awesom and drives my wife crazy. She's a big fan too!

Clean manly smell, without being overpowering.
It lathers up nicely, and smells great. Cedar smells great, but can sometimes be too much, I think the spice sweetens it a little without making it too ax body spray. it's got a nice manly, clean fresh smell. It came a little lumpy, delivered in Texas. I don't know if that's how it is supposed to be, or if it got hot in delivery. It's had no effect on it's ability to lather and give me a smooth shave.

Solid Product
I very much enjoyed this soap. It has a good lather and a nice smell but not overpowering. I would recommend this product.

Really good stuff
This stuff absolutely rocks. The scent is already nice when you open the container, but once you lather it, it opens up. Less concentrated but more complex. And my experience with the lather, contrary to some other reviews on here, was really really good. Here’s how:I bloom it in warm water for a few minutes, put some of the bloom water in the lathering bowl and throw the rest away or use on the face. Then load the brush for a good 30-40 seconds (this part is important). Finally, another good 30-40 seconds of bowl lathering, adding tiny amount of water if necessary, produces a huge amount of nice, rich, slick, cushionny lather. More than enough for a comfortable 3 passes shave.

Great soap, a little big for a shaving scuttle
I love the cedar spice scent. This feels great on my face, and it's a nice soft soap so it lathers nicely and takes very little time to build up a lather. My only complaint is that the puck is a bit too wide to fit into my shaving scuttle compared to other soap pucks I've purchased, so I had to break it up to fit inside. I didn't like lathering it directly in the tin.

Great stuff
I am thrilled RMBC released a shave soap. The zesty Cedar Spice scent smells fantastic (and not like the stale bread scent their bath soap had!) and is perfect scent intensity. It's a very hard soap considering it isn't triple milled, and takes a fair bit of time to load - I think this is a good thing. Once loaded, a splash or two of water is all that's needed to build up a slick, stable lather with fantastic residual slickness.RMBC has a real winner here - I'd love to see their beard oil and balm scents hit their shaving soaps.

Superior product but cumbersome package size for lathering
The Cedar Spice shaving soap performs extremely well from the perspective of providing a very smooth shaving experience. The scent is refreshing. What I did not like was the small size of the container (3.7 ounces) which makes the lathering process with the brush a bit cumbersome and messy as the foam runs all over the edges. On the other hand the soap seems to require minimal water on the brush for a good lather. Clean up was very efficient.
