EVS Sports SB05 Shoulder Brace | Compression Support & X-Strap Stabilization | Breathable Adjustable Fit

I wish I had found this brace years ago! It has totally turned my life around, allowing me to enjoy sports (specifically, hockey) again at 45 years old. I am not a professional athlete by any means, but I love playing ice hockey and I've had more than my fair share of bumps and bruises as well as injuries over the years. Early in my career, I dislocated my shoulder severely, which required multiple surgeries. Eventually I wore down that joint so bad that it had to be replaced with an artificial joint. My shoulder pain was constant (before and after the surgery), and as I got into my 40s, it seemed to get worse, especially when I played hockey or did anything that required using my arms. I wore a sling brace for a while, and it helped, but then I'd get arm pit pain from overuse of that brace. Then I separated my good shoulder last year, so I needed a brace to protect both shoulders and after much research, I settled with this product. At first, when I received the product, I had difficulty figuring out how to put it on (it is tricky), but once I had it on, I could feel that my shoulders felt supported. For the first few games, I tried wearing both my sling and shoulder brace, but eventually stopped using the sling and just used this. It has eliminated all the pain I used to receive while playing hockey (such for example, when people would slash my stick, the vibrations would travel up my arm and into my shoulder as pain, but no longer with this brace). In fact, the pain I'd get after a game or workout has also been reduced due to this brace. And if there's something around the house that will require me exerting effort and using my shoulders, I'll put this brace on, because it really helps keep my shoulder from slipping, and providing it with the support needed. I feel like if I had found this brace years ago, I could have prevented having to replace my shoulder ten years ago. Bottom line, my shoulder will never be 100% again, but this brace has been the closest thing in revitalizing my life and bringing enjoyment back into a sport that I love and thought I'd have to give up due to pain. I can't give it enough stars, because I feel much happier in my life now that I can continue sport activities without enduring adverse pain.

fits great as the shoulder size is good for medium vs small

This brace runs incredibly small because of the compression element. I was supposed to fit into a Medium but I had to go up to a Large for it to fit properly. It is providing support for my shoulders which is great for my hypermobility. My shoulders have a bad habit of over rotating, but this brace helps hold them in place.

I'm sure this product is great but I ended up getting the wrong one. I ordered the SB05 dual shoulder brace but instead I got the SB03 for one side or the other. The name, picture and description did not match what I got. Please correct that for next time cuz I'm sure, as I said in the beginning, this product is a good one.

Love design & support of the 'EVS dual shoulder brace' but unfortunately their largest chest size is just 45", too small for most male adults. *Those who need to wear dual shoulder braces daily need models to fit 50" & up chest size.

I separated my shoulder quite severely racing BMX and I was visiting a motorcycle/ATV store looking at shoulder protection products. The salesman there told me that what they had was not what I needed, but recommended the EVS Sports Shoulder Brace for my injury. We were visiting Utah for a short time and he did not have time to get one in for me before we were leaving so my wife looked it up on Amazon. They had one and it could be delivered quickly. I started wearing it and while it is a bit hot and itchy, it was amazing how much better my shoulder felt when I wore it. I was able to start doing activities that I did not think would be possible. One of the highlights of the trips we take to Utah is to go mountain biking at Sundance Ski Resort but with my shoulder I did not think it would be possible. With this shoulder brace I was able to mountain bike. It was not like normal but it made it possible. I still wear it to mountain bike but I am still not able to race BMX yet with my shoulder. I will continue to wear it when (if??) my shoulder ever heals enough that it gets back to normal so help protect my shoulders and keep them in place in case of another crash.

It was hard to get on size was misleading especially with bad shoulder.

I ordered this brace because I already wear A back brace throughout the day to help keep me stable (Hypermobility takes its toll otherwise), But my shoulders were still migrating forward, no matter what. The first day I put it on, and then took a few steps around the house, I felt like an invincible cyborg warrior. My gosh! Is this how “normal bodies” hold themselves together without even thinking about it?! Granted, I can’t really wear it out of the house unless it’s Turtleneck weather, Because Of how high it Fastens in front— But I wasn’t looking for a fashion accessory, I was looking for a well-made, fully adjustable brace and that’s exactly what this is. If you have “rounded shoulders” or have struggled with cervical spine issues, I would recommend at least a trial. Removing The weight-bearing and body Immobilization load from muscles, rather than the ligaments and tendons that should have been doing those jobs, can be a revelation. Good luck, everyone.
