A great sub for a great price.
When my 25 year old Eltax sub but the dust I needed a replacement but didn't want to spend a fortune. Based on reviews both here and on audio websites I realised that this fitted the bill perfectly. It's more powerful than I needed but seems very well constructed, sounds beautiful and matches our other furniture, what more could I want. I'm hoping this one will last as long as my little Eltax did.

Gives a Good Solid Boom
Still bedding this speaker in. Had it a few weeks. The sound quality has improved markedly over these weeks. I have this sub matched with 2 Wharferdale Diamond 9.1 speakers. The amp is an AUNA AV-CD508, supposedly 600W output. Sound is fed from my desktop PC to the amp then through the sub to the regular speakers using banana plugs. I was unsure whether to award 4 stars or 5. I opted to give 5 because this sub does kick out a good booming bass, though fullness seems to depend on the music played. I listen to streamed music so suspect recording quality is more the issue than is speaker quality. Reggae, elektro, reggaeton and bass boosted music come through well. Bass in pop music comes through less well. Bass in movies can be room shaking at times yet other times lacking the vital thunderous experience. I feel that recording quality is more the issue than the sub's capability to produce crisp bass. This sub could do with a remote control. The 2 nobs to adjust the volume and the crossover frequency are on the back of the sub. Volume is no issue because my amp has a separate control for bass in an easy to reach location. But, the crossover on the sub needs to be adjusted when I switch from music to video or, less so, when I change music genre. The location of the crossover control nob is my only real annoyance with the sub. In all other respects I'm happy with it. Overall, this is a nice looking sub with good solid thunderous room shaking bass performance (don't worry, you can turn down the shakes with the volume nob at the back of the sub). I would buy this sub again. Edit 18th Jan 2025: I should have updated this review a couple of years ago. The sub looks really nice and it has a great bass output. Room shaking. When it works. I've not had a peep out of it for about 2 years. Problems developed within the first year of purchase. The sub would randomly cut out. I thought my amp might have been at fault but I recently bought a new amp and there is still no sound from this sub. Apparently the relays in this sub model are a known point of failure. It's very common. I sent a support request to Wharferdale today. Hopefully Wharferdale will offer help to fix the fault.

Great value subwoofer.
I cannot praise this sub enough! It hooked up easily, adjusted to phase, cutoff and volume precisely. And the result is way better than one should expect at this price point. I have had subs costing considerably more that aren't as musical - and it can cover movie effects for a small to medium room perfectly well. Okay - you can get more out of 250+Watts but to match it for an accurate sound blending well with speakers in an AV system its going to cost several times more. Even the Walnut finish and overall heft of the admittedly big box is pleasing. Again, if you want something in glossy piano black packed into a small form factor its not for you. But as a big punchy and suprisingly deft performer it really can't be beaten for under £200. Its close to persuading me to get some diamond speakers to match if the sound, looks and finish are on a par.

Awesome. It made the antique plates on my dresser shake.
5.0 out of 5 stars Bass That’ll Shake Your Soul Without the Drama! Folks, this Wharfedale Diamond SW150 Subwoofer is an absolute game-changer for my vinyl sessions. I’ve been cranking my favorite Aaron Lewis albums on repeat, and let me tell you, the low end hits like a thunderclap—deep, clean, and utterly immersive. That 10-inch driver paired with 150W of power? It’s a powerhouse wrapped in a sleek walnut finish that looks right at home on any shelf. No more wimpy bass from my old setup; this thing delivers room-filling rumble without a hint of distortion. Every track feels alive, with lows that vibrate through the floorboards and highs that stay crisp. Setup? Dead simple—just connect and let the magic happen. On the funny side, my cat’s claimed it as her personal throne, lounging like a rockstar during playback, while my downstairs neighbors must think I’m throwing a secret rave (apologies in advance!). For the value, it’s unbeatable—premium sound without breaking the bank. If you want bass that punches above its weight, snag the SW150. My listening game’s forever upgraded!

Amazing deep bass
A very well priced subwoofer for home cinema, I have it connected to my MARANTZ cinema 70s amp and they work together perfectly, the sub delivers deep base and sub base that will shake the room, there is a gain control and frequency control it also has auto off and on but you will need to make sure your amp has an adjustable sensitivity mode to get this to work the best, The one I picked the the carbon fibre look one and it does look really good, the sub fires out the side and has a downward facing port, the subwoofer fabric cover is removable if you wish to see the sub, this is a very well made subwoofer from a great brand and sound that will match most other subwoofer’s at a higher price. Don’t be worried to buy this is a great subwoofer.

Heavy hitting for the price.
Had this sub in my lounge system for 5 years. It punches way above it's weight. Fantastic unit. Contemplating adding a second one now.
