Wasn’t Sure If This Supplement Worked Until I Ran Out
Started taking this for hair loss & loose skin from major weight loss.I can’t say for certain whether or not it helped me in those areas. However when I ran out of this supplement & went without it for a couple weeks, the tendons in my knee started clicking/popping while exercising. I forgot I had this problem since I’ve been taking this supplement for a while, so I know for certain that it helped with my joints.I ordered more & now that I’m back to taking it, the knee popping is slowly going away. It’ll take some time & now I know I will always need this supplement, but it’s worth the benefit.

So glad I started taking this product!
I have been taking this product for just over a year and a half. My last two eye appoints my eyes have gotten better. I have been wearing glasses since I was in second grade. I am 56 now. So I showed the doc what I've been taking. She said she wouldn't say it does help and she wouldn't say it doesn't help. What she would say is that eyes are made of collagen. I have been wearing acrylics since I turned 30 because two nails split and peel. When I get back from vacation in July I am going to remove the acrylics and go natural the whole month of July in hopes that this product also is helping those two nails. I beating it does... but we shall see!

Impressive Results with a Plant-Based Collagen Booster
I've been using the Vital Vitamins Vegan Collagen Booster for a couple of months now, and I'm genuinely impressed with the results. As someone committed to a plant-based lifestyle, finding a collagen supplement that aligns with my values was essential. This product not only meets that criterion but also delivers noticeable benefits. My skin feels more hydrated and has a subtle glow that I hadn't noticed before. Additionally, my nails are stronger and less prone to breaking, and my hair appears shinier and healthier. The inclusion of hyaluronic acid is a definite plus, contributing to the overall skin benefits.I appreciate that the capsules are easy to swallow and don't have any unpleasant aftertaste. It's also reassuring to know that this supplement supports my body's natural collagen production without relying on animal-derived ingredients.Overall, this vegan collagen booster has become a staple in my daily routine, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a plant-based alternative to traditional collagen supplements.

Good so far
Possibly too soon to tell. I started taking the pills the day I got them. So far no complaints, only reason why 4 starts is because I feel it’s a little too soon to tell for a difference, but otherwise thank you. Will comeback and update in a month

Worth trying it
A friend recommended this product to me for my knee pain, said it helps to build up the collagen there. So it is worth the try. My knees are doing well, one had a cortisone injection and the other knee is fine, no pain. I don't know if this product is working but my knees are definitely feeling better in all ways so I'll give some credit to this supplement and keep taking for a while.

repeat buyer
I like that this has the different types of collagen all in one pill. I couldn't even find some of these types at drug stores and other places I shop. It's priced reasonable. I like the ingredients. The doctor wanted me to make sure I got type 2 cause I have tendon, joint, and muscle issues. Seems to help. Also good for hair and nails.

Some of the Side Effects of Taking Collagen Supplements (Including the ones I experienced)
I have been taking this product since early March 2025 for joint support. I had also started exercising regularly a few weeks earlier and eating a lot healthier, to reduce my weight and have overall better health. In late March, I noticed a small rash on my inner thigh (it fit under a 2x3 band aid). My doctor couldn't identify it but, because I've had relative who have had Shingles, she said it might be that. I was preventatively prescribed an antibiotic and a topical steroid treatment. They took away the uncomfortable symptoms but the rash remains. I noticed that I also developed very mild acne and brittle finger and toe nails. The acne went away but the brittle nails persist. Because I'd made three changes at about the same time (exercise, diet and collagen supplement), I attributed these issues to my body adjusting, expecting them to resolve over time. I did notice, however, my joints felt better. I recently spoke with my sister and she told me she had tried to take different collagen supplements but they all caused her to have rashes on her inner thighs so she stopped taking them. A lightbulb went off in my head and I looked up the possible side effects of taking collagen supplements. I found listed among them not only the side effects I experienced but those of many other people who provided comments here. I'm sharing the side affects I found on the web, for your awareness and to help in your decision-making about this and other brands. This list is not exhaustive; there may be other side effects. What causes collagen side effects?Collagen intake has its benefits, but some people may exhibit side effects due to various factors, including collagen intolerance and improper collagen dosage. Side effects manifest as clinical symptoms best identified by a medical professional. These symptoms vary from one individual to another:Skin: Rashes, acne breakouts, or general skin inflammation. May be due to collagen sensitivity, chemical additives in collagen supplements, and contaminated natural collagen sources.Liver: Liver fibrosis from excessive accumulation of type I collagen in the liver tissue. May worsen the liver's condition, as unmanaged liver fibrosis can lead to liver cancer.Kidneys: Kidney stones. Hydroxyproline is a major collagen amino acid that is normally disposed of through the kidneys as oxalate, a kidney stone trigger.Stomach: Digestive problems including diarrhea, constipation, and heartburn, bloating and reduced appetite. Chemical additives greatly contribute to these reactions.Heart: Hypercalcemia (an overaccumulation of calcium which can lead to abnormal heart rhythm).
