Easy to use and looks realistic
E-Z Track is easy to put together and has a more realistic look than just plain track. It's available in various lengths and radii for most train layouts. A good option for model railroading.

Meh
It's a curved section of track. It does it's job; it...creates curves in a track. You need two packs of these to make a full circle. Also, you'll want to wait to assemble it until you know for sure what your track layout is going to look like overall. I assembled it twice and it caused two dead links to form in the track. I used pliers and as easy tension as I could manage to squeeze the tabs. This solved the issue. As for value, paying $12-$15 per pack doesn't seem too bad until you realize that's roughly $2 for a piece of plastic with two strips of metal going through it. Before you say anything about the level of detail going into these, keep in mind that about 80% of the manufacturing process is done with injection molding (which is where the details would be put in because it's a lot less work during assembly). If I had to guess, the rail arrives at the factory (already shaped) in a single roll that gets cut and formed according to needs Also, one section of track had a strip of plastic that didn't get cut quite right. It looked like a hair resting on the track, but it was, indeed, plastic. I removed it with a pair of tweezers.

Training a Senior?
Yes, I'm a senior retired woman and just bought my first train set before Christmas. I set it up on my extended dining table, added some "trees" and other village'y items, and ran it a lot. I have a CD called "Sleeping on a Train" and played it when the model train was going -- really created atmosphere. I was fine with the N-scale cars after I figured out the technique for setting them on the track -- frustrating at first -- I almost gave up. I ordered more extra track than I needed to make a large oval. The set came with a small circular track set-up which I found too small and boring. I got help from a friend in Florida to configure the oval, although I would have gotten it eventually, as I do with everything else. All in all, I love my train and extra track and will probably go further with this interest next year. Right now, though, it's all packed away with the holidays being over, but I will get the mood again probably in the fall. I may even get into a year-round village without the "holiday" feel. I am thinking about a bigger layout, but need to buy some plywood to make a platform over the existing dining table, then shove the whole thing closer to my huge picture windows which overlook the San Juan mountains to the south -- makes for a gorgeous background for a train village.

Go together easily
I tried a layout by making my own road bed and assembling bare track, but n-scale track is hard to work with and I wound up redoing the layout with this. Much easier & better. The train runs much smoother now.

Bachmann track, you get what you see. Great for junior's small layout, solid, fits together well and doesn't mess with the power circuit, so it's all good. I don't think it's great value for money, but it's comparable to its rivals. Maybe not what the purists like, but it works for us.

Received the track on time. Snapped together really, really well. Train runs smoothly over it. Worked out better than planned. Want to get more later.
