Perfect for cold brew but also works for cooking
Love these! They’re perfect for my cold brew. I fill out about 2/3 and use two bags in my 2 qt pitcher since I like mine strong. The bags are very well made and you could easily use them as a spice sachet in cooking. It makes my life so much easier not having to clean coffee grounds. I do wish they had a slightly larger mouth just to make it easier to add coffee grounds but otherwise they’re the perfect size.

Easy to use, excellent cold brew results, no microplastics
These were super easy to use, they left no detectable coffee grinds or residue in my cold brew, and same for when I used loose tea leaves to make cold brew tea. Clean-up was a breeze, like removing a big used tea bag and just throwing it away. The results were low-acid coffee and tea that tasted great. I use it with an "Oxo" brand 1.78 liter screw-on lid Tritan plastic jar from Amazon. Years ago I used Toddy Cold Brew system for a few years, but that was a time-consuming, messy routine, and I just gave it up. When I saw these filter bags on Amazon, I looked on YouTube for videos that showed how to fill the bags and leave room for water to circulate among the coffee grinds or loose tea leaves, maybe using two half-filled small bags in one jar to make a concentrated brew to dilute with filtered water later to minimize storage space required in the fridge for the finished cold brew coffee or tea. I chose this brand because the description indicates they are made from all-natural fibers, and I assume they are therefore free of forever microplastics and harmful chemicals .

Love these filters for making cold brew
These were a game changer for making cold brew. I've been using them for 6 plus months now and will never go back. They are easy to use, make cleanup fast and easy, the taste of the coffee is great and they take up less space in the cold brew jar which is nice. The quality is great, no ripping or leaking. I use the medium and it fits more than a 1/2 cup of ground coffee.

They work well but not the greatest
These things do the trick but they're not the greatest. I really don't have anything to compare them to because they are the first and only filters of this type I have used. I got them to make cold brew coffee and sun tea. I never got to try them to make tea yet. I have made cold brew a few times from them. The bags have to sit in the water longer before being extracted in order to get the right amount of coffee extracted. As I have researched, this is due to the bag being less permeable than other filters. There are pros and cons to that. Pro: you can use a finer grind such as store-bought pre-ground coffee and it will not get through the filter and into your cold brew extract. Con: your brewing / steeping process will take longer. I brew for a minimum of 24 hours with these filters. I brew closer to 32 to 36 hours. The other issue is that some of the fibers from the bag stay in the cold brew concentrate when you remove the filter. Those are really the only issues that I have experienced. I have purchased a cold brew press and they are messy to clean. I'm not sure that it's good to have all of those coffee grinds going down a drain when washing the press either. I bought these mesh filters to make cleanup easier. They're supposed to be compostable as well. Overall I like them. I'd like to try some others as well so I have something to compare them to. The price is definitely much cheaper than other filters on amazon.

These Are Awesome.
First I used them for the Cold Brew Coffee Maker that I bought them with and for. I like using pre-ground Dunkin Original Blend coffee and in my previous Cold Brewer, (it was too small), using just the fine mesh filter with that coffee allowed some sludge to get into the liquid. I'm guessing that the grind was too fine for the fine mesh filter. Upgrading too a 1 gallon Cold Brewer, I thought of the coffee bags they had at some motels on a recent trip. Like tea bags but with coffee in them. I search for that and found these fill them yourself bags. I use about 2 cups of ground coffee, (same kind), for 1 gallon of cold brew. Each of these holds about 1 cup. Perfect. Fill three. Tie them off with the draw-string closure. Place those inside the fine mesh filter let it steep in the refrigerator and done. Awesome cold brew. With no sludge. Added bonus? Pull the three bags out of the fine mesh filter and dispose of them and rinse your fine mesh filter. No more loose grounds going down the sink drain while trying to get them all out of the fine mesh tube. Forget about all that mess. These bags are durable. Recently, I tried boiling pasta in them. They stand up to twelve minutes of rolling boil with no problem. Thing was, I found myself without a drainer and wondered how I would drain the pasta after I cook it. I thought of these. When the pasta is done pull the bag out using the convenient draw-strings closure, (over the sink, of course), give it a few shakes and it's drained. Also, the pasta does not stick to the pan. I really like the way all different shapes of pasta come out using these. I have not tried any long pastas. You'd have to break them to fit, but shells, ziti, spirals, twists, tubes, etc. All good. Hope that helps.

These are easy to tie and dispose of. To get a cup of grounds in requires compressing them with a spoon (non-compressed I think it holds about 3/4 cup of grounds), and I did hear one filter bag start to rip open when I packed it too hard, but it didn't actually split and having learned that lesson, I have no issues using them. I'd definitely recommend these.

Perfect for the tub teas I'm making as gifts. Nothing leaks out even when I hold upside down It's just unfortunate that 2 weeks after buying them the 1st time the price has now almost doubled :(
