Good product
Have used this hose for a while now and it has held up well. Filling up pools, irrigation. I would suggest getting some type of spool to go with it.

Works well but has a leak
This hose is durable like that used in the fire dept. I’ve used it a number of times but has sprung a couple of pin sized leaks. Still works well.

Build quality, workmanship of castings are top notch, works according to specification.
I place the quality and manufacturing of the AKW Fire Hose in the top 5% of manufactured professional hoses. The quality of the fittings are top-notch, the cut, alignment and layered assembly is as one would expect. I would definitively call this Pro Grade and worth the extra security of knowing that it will perform when I need it to. I manufacture robotics and use this product as one of out key components in the build quality of our fire mitigation solution. If I can put my trust in such a great product, so can you. 5 Stars - Without hesitation.

Durable
Needed a discharge hose for my pool filter backwash. This hose is perfect. I have used Polyester/Rubber hoses, but rodents chewed holes in them. I don’t see that happening with this hose.

Quality out weight the price, we run these on our big sprinkler systems

Not good for frequent use
We mistakenly ordered this hose. It does NOT have an inner liner. Just some kind of coating. This hose is made to hang in a box for life. If you plan on using this hose frequently for other uses, it is a poor choice. The non-liner will leak.

Good for episodic, indoor use
It works fine, and can be managed handily by one person. It is a lined, single jacket hose. It is not very durable. Mine got a small hole at the first use, outdoors. Note that it is advertised for indoor use. To avoid abrasion, lay the empty hose out to the place where it will be used. Then charge it with water. This will avoid kinks. Avoid dragging the water-filled hose, especially if it has any kinks. Drag a kink across your driveway and you will find a hole. It can still be used with a small hole. For a hose that will be used repeatedly, and especially for use outdoors, choose a double jacket, color-coated hose to improve durability.
