Solid product, branded, good value for money.
Very happy with this product. Bought at a very reasonable price of £16 which seems to be about average for a 6 way extension lead with surge protection and USB. The main thing I like about it is that it feels very solidly built, although can't comment on the quality of the electronics inside which is what really matters! It certainly feels Heavy Duty as per the name. Shiny, solid plastic with a good weight to it. Definitely doesn't feel cheap. Also I use this to keep on top of my desk for ease of access. Since it has a good weight it stays in place well even with a few plugs connected to it. It looks smart on my desk and is compact due to the fact that it has 3 sockets on either side rather than in a long, straight line. I've not plugged in anything into the USB port as yet but assume this should be fine. USB port have a slightly higher amp rating and should be good to charge two devices comfortably at normal (slow) speed or one device at a faster speed, but definitely not the new super fast charging standards. Would definitely recommend this product, especially for £16!

Well made and reliable multiplug
Been using this model (and other Masterplug units) for years. For the safety of my devices, and general fire safety, I've gradually replaced every multiplug in the house with Masterplug, many with this model.

Nice kit but shame about the rubbish non-delivery AMAZON:-/
Marvellous product. Just didn't expect AMAZON to deliver LATE to the AMAZON HUB on a Sunday after the AMAZON HUB (the Post Office) had closed and then to get accusatory and chastising emails claiming unsuccessful delivery attempts - sent from a no-reply email account. Just sayin' AMAZON - poor show - fix YOUR stuff first before blaming others:-/

Does what it says
In this day and age it is always difficult to find the perfect extension lead for your given scenario. This suits my requirements perfectly. I already own one of these leads which runs off a wall plug beside my bed, however I've ordered a second one for my wifes bedside as she requires USB-C for charging. The extension lead is well built and feels solid. I am using a couple of 'normal sized' uk plugs so large power supply adaptors won't be too useful as they'll still block an additional socket. Just bear in mind what you plug into this thing because as others have mentioned - the extension lead does not switch back on in the event of a powercut, the end user has to re-activate it. The only real downer for me is the blue power LED light atop the unit. If I wanted a landing beacon for airplanes then this would be hugely useful outdoors - it is just way too bright and I keep forgetting to cover it up with some tape as it illuminates the ceiling!

Compact extension lead with USB sockets and surge protection
As I spend a lot of time working from home on my 15" laptop, I decided to upgrade with two 15" monitors and a docking station... but that meant needing an extra 3 sockets and I only had one spare. I needed a replacement extension lead, and this one has fitted the bill completely, including a 2m cable that makes it practical for my nearest wall socket. Not only do I now have ample space for all my plugs, but I now have extra capacity for charging USB devices and surge protection, all in a compact and (as far as extension leads go!) attractive design.

A good extension for under the desk.
I only had a 5 way extension under my desk, the same one I've used for years, and I'm forever needing just 1 extra socket. My Wife whilst home working was using a 4 way version of this which her work supplied, I was suitably impressed and looked to see if a 6 way was available. Being a decent name I was expecting it to cost much more, so purchase was a no brainer. I'm not disappointed. The best thing about this is the orientation of the sockets. They are perfect for plugging in cables hanging down from a desk as they are effectively upside down. So cables don't have to go down on to the floor, potentially much neater. It does make the USB sockets a bit hard to reach, I may have to get some longer cables to leave plugged in, but that is a minor niggle, I tend to charge from the PC anyway. Surge protection ... well I've never had it in all the time I've owned a PC (late 80s) and never suffered I'll effects due to 'surges'. Do they really happen, or is it just a selling point. Maybe I've just been lucky. Either way I doubt having it will do any harm. Really pleased with this extension lead. A good name, good design and a good price.

Edit. Power surged worked! Stopped working 7 months after purchase
EDIT!!! I thought this had broken but in fact it worked perfectly and had stopped working because of an (unknown to me) power failure. It was only when I read someone else’s review that I saw that you have to press the power button back on if there’s been a power failure! Edited. Bought this in December 2020. It has been sitting quite happily in the corner with a printer plugged into it and occasionally a USB charging cable. For no reason that I can figure out it has just suddenly decided to stop working. It’s now outside of its return window so I wouldn’t say that £16 for 7 months use is very good value for money. (Also just as an aside - it wasn’t powerful enough to charge a Polaroid camera back when I tried in the new year) Edited at top
