Supernatural: The Official Cookbook

There are lots of tasty recipes in there with easy to follow instructions and a handy box with the timings and amount of servings in. Each recipe has a paragraph describing where it fits into the show & there are also some lovely colour pictures taken from the show as well as big colour pictures of the food. It is a cook book for American food, which is unusual for the UK & something different, although the ingredients are also American, so you might find the occasional thing where you have to look for a UK equivalent. There is a mixture of Dean type naughty but nice recipes and healthier Sam type stuff, with some things like Death's enchiladas & the to die for pizza & even Marcy's ginger peach cobbler that she made for Bobby & of course, Jack's milkshake There's a lot packed into it and someone has clearly gone to a great deal of trouble to create workable recipes & is clearly a fan of the show, because they have made it fabulous If you are a fan of the show and you do any home cooking, you have to get this book, honestly, even if you don't do much cooking, there are drinks & easy things like Wendigo-hunting trail mix to snack on while watching the show & they even have the recipe for "pig n a poke" ever wondered what that is?

As a fan of the Supernatural TV series, I instantly fell in love with this cookbook. Dean and his pie and Sam with his smoothies and salads, it's all in this book, and much more. This is a hardcover book with great photography. Love the paper quality. This isn't just a piece of cheap merch for the fans. This cookbooks is ideal for collectors of all kinds. It's just too bad the author missed a tasty oil change recipe for Baby ;-)

Enjoyable read and some lovely ideas.

I was half expecting this to be a half-hearted collection of pie and burger recipes designed to exploit fans' appetite for anything Supernatural-related. Oh boy was I wrong! This book is SO GOOD. They've put so much thought and care into it, most recipes are linked to a particular episode with quotes and high quality screen caps. There are so many more recipes than I was expecting, with a lot more variety than just pies and burgers (although those are in there of course). As a vegetarian, I was also pleasantly surprised at how many of the items are veggie (or can-be-made-veggie). The recipes are clear and simple, the introductory texts are written with a lovely light sense of humour and a real knowledge and love of the show shines through. I'm already planning a Supernatural view party with my fandom friends where we make and eat as much from this book as possible. It's a wonderful tribute to the show and has made me very happy. And that's without even trying any of the recipes yet!

I wasn’t sure what to expect from a cookbook from a tv shop but it was deep in lockdown and I needed a present for my friend! However when it came I was extremely pleasantly surprised. Not only does it have lovely recipes but they are very much inspired by the show and what they eat and is accompanied by lots of pictures and anecdotes from the show. I started just flicking through it but ended up reading it from start to finish. I bought this for my friend but he didn’t end up getting it as I didn’t want to part with it, I am a bad friend. I bought him a weeping angel light for his new home instead... very much recommend this cookbook

Cadeau pour ma sœur, étant une grande fan de la série, elle était absolument ravie! Il y a de nombreuses recettes de toutes sortes, certaines sont vraiment originales, et le livre est très joli avec beaucoup de photos autour de la série, top pour les fans :)
