This is great for my little aspiring scientist. She loves doing the experiments. This kit is great because it goes into the science behind the experiment before you do it and then has you think about the experiment after, having you write down what you think happened and why based on the mini lesson at the beginning. I've had everything its required for the experiments in my kitchen or bathroom so far.

This is a GREAT science kit. I am a mother of 2 (ages 8 and 10) as well as a 1st and 2nd grade teacher who does STEM activities with her class often. The experiments in this kit are exciting, the directions are easy to follow, and it kept my daughter busy for 2 hours today--and she only did 3 of the experiments! I highly recommend this kit--for boys and girls.

Bought this for my niece's 9th birthday and she loves it. A lot of cool learning experiences that make science appealing to kids and more specifically girls. It's fun watching her get excited about science especially because she's so smart to begin with. Who knows, I've probably started her on her path of a long, brilliant, successful science career curing multiple diseases and ending world hunger. You're welcome.

it is too difficult for my 8 year old to conduct the experiment. also i have to be there to guide him along to write down the observations. there is also no answers given.

This was gifted to a 9.5 year old girl. She loved it. Lots of simple science projects and the test tubes are a hit for mixing colors. The safety glasses are a joke though. They are just for dress up, but very flimsy... A total waste of plastic. If your kid mixes other random things in it, you'll need a good straw cleaning brush for the thin test tubes. But I really like this a lot. Mine certainly loves playing with it.

My 9 year old daughter bought this kit with birthday money. She has been mostly self-sufficient with the experiments. Contents of kit seem sturdy. Most other needed materials are household items. Purchased purple cabbage. Didn't have TUMS on hand. We did have things like food coloring, baking soda, vinegar...Would buy this again.

I've been looking for a way to get my daughter more interested into science and this did the trick! She already liked making concoctions in the kitchen, so what better way that to show her how to make real mixtures that do cool things!! The set can get messy at times, so I'd recommend doing them on a mat or cleanable surface.

This is just awesome. Great for a budding scientist or for those who just like to experiment. The pieces are decent quality and there's a lot of fun ideas in the book. I like that although it's geared towards girls, it's not super silly girly
