Alice in the Country of Clover: Ace of Hearts

I've read most of the spin-offs from this series, and I was looking forward to seeing how Ace and Alice's romance would fare. Not well really. There's little development in the characters, and a few of the things Ace does are not what you'd call romantic. He comes off a bit of a creep in the story actually. Another reason I knocked off a star in the rating is the rather long short from the series "Crimson Empire." I have no interest in reading it so inserting it into the "Country of Clover" series is a bit irritating. You could have cut the short from the manga, and lowered the price of the book easily. So, in all, not bad, but I'd say skip it unless you're a huge Ace fan.

When this first came out I was so excited. I love country of clover spin offs so why not give this one a go. I was very disappointed. When Alice was with Boris it took time for her to kiss him and simple things like hold hands. I liked it because Boris cares about Alice and respects her. Hah not Ace. I was hoping to get some reason is to why he is always lost and hopefully Alice was going to show him his way. The Ace in this book couldn't care less for Alice. He tried to strangle her. Like wtf?? If you loved some one you wouldn't try and kill them. Plus there was a huge chunk of the book that was the crimson empire. (btw not the best manga) If I was you I would save my money for a different spin off. I recommend Boris.

I really like Ace so I was really excited for this manga. I really liked the plot even though it repeats the story of how Alice got there and so on but I think that is mainly there for the people that have not followed the series completely. While i did like Ace's & Alice's story I thought it was way too short and could have had a little bit more romance than what it did. I also thought it sucked that a good chunk of the book were previews of other manga. Anyways if you are a fan of Ace like I am than I think you will really like it either way.

I love Ace in the series, thought he was so interesting and funny so of course I was set for buying this manga! But then I got it and that's the end of my excitement for it too. The story was way too short leaving me gaping because I practically had no idea what I just read so I had to reread it. Ace didn't act like Ace to me and Alice was just...lacking... I kind of feel like they half-assed it because their working more on Boris and soon Dupree but this was a pitiful attempt and it was like they didn't even like Ace to give him a proper storyline. Honestly he is more interesting in Boris' story than his own which is sad indeed. Skip it! Or find a website who has it for free, its not worth the money for a crappy storyline and feeling like you got jiffed in the end, the only reason it got 2 stars from me is because I still love Ace and the artwork is great, that's it...

I'm in love with this series. When it came in the mail today, the cover is new, the book itself never opened. Flipped through the pages and didn't see any writing. Brand new!

I am hooked on this series! I have found every one of the books very entertaining. It was a little confusing how the books changed character to character but I just go with the flow. Ace's book is really good. He's a very complex guy!

I loved this manga, it was good. It was packaged with a few other things of mine. I wish it was packaged with plastic, just because it could've bent something. But overall great!

The quality of the book itself is actually very good, there were no errors at all and the size is quite big. I'm happy with this purchase.However, what I'm complaining about is the actual story. I bought this book for Kuni no Alice series, not Crimson Empire or whatever that is. The actual Alice related stories are only 2 chapters, the rest of it is Quinrose's other games. Pretty dissapointed with this.Oh but I did enjoy reading it, Kuni no Alice manga doesn't usually have a proper ending. But at least this one is better than Wonderful Wonder World.

Alice in the Country of (insert) is just getting too much now. There are so many variations of this manga but with the same storylines over and over again but with different lead males. They need to stop this series. If I had stopped with the original Alice in the Country of Hearts I would still have a good impression of it.
