Recently bought something that stunk up my room and closet. Hanging up these bags all around my room and closet made a noticeable difference. It actually works so well that it also erases any good smelling fragrances. I have yankee candle scents from costco that I hung up in my closet, the smell from those are also gone in addition to the bad smell I was trying to get rid of. It just smells like nothing in my room now, which I guess is good? 5 stars for being effective.

I left a vegetable in the veggie drawer when we went on an extended vacation. We always dump our ice cubes (side-by-side, built in fridge), and I was surprised that they tasted 'funny' the next day. Then I noticed a chemical/medicinal/weird smell every time I opened the fridge door. The power had gone out for 4 days in-between. Well we cleaned it all out--I mean EVERYTHING, including cleaning labels of bottles, etc. And by "we", I pretty much mean my husband did it all. The smell/taste stubbornly remained. We put a bowl of baking soda in the fridge--no luck. Then I got these and *bam* - smell was gone. Fridge saved!! These can be "recharged" by putting in sunshine for 1/2 hour too, so they will last forever, and they fit nicely wherever I put them. Worth every penny for sure, so easy to use (although I doubt they'd have worked without cleaning.) I have some in another place and they work there too so good quality, have recharged previously and they do continue to perform. Even come with hangers when needed. Highly recommend~!

Using these for covering litter box smell. Doesn't really work. May work for other things.

"Rejuvenate For Up To 2 Years ... in the sunlight for a couple of hours" I can find absolutely no scientific evidence that UV light has any effect on activated carbon. I measured the amount of UVA and UVB light that gets through the double layer bag holding the charcoal: in direct sunlight, producing 262 microwatts/cm^2 the bag blocks all but 39 microwatts/cm^2 (only 15% gets through). The top layer of charcoal would stop any light from reaching anything below. The standard ways to regenerate activated carbon are: Regeneration / Active Carbon Activated carbon is an expensive product. In most of the cases the cost of replacing the saturated carbon would be prohibitive. It should therefore be regenerated, and four methods have been developed for this purpose: Steam regeneration This method is restricted to regenerating carbon which has only retained a few very volatile products. Thermal regeneration By pyrolysis and burning off of adsorbed organic substances. In order to avoid igniting the carbon, it is heated to about 800 °C in a controlled atmosphere. This is the widely used method and regenerates the carbon very well, but it has two disadvantages: it requires considerable investment in either a multiple-hearth furnace and it causes high carbon losses. Chemical regeneration Some process based on the action of a solvent used at a temperature of approximately 100 °C and with a high pH. Biological regeneration This method of regeneration has not yet been applied on an industrial scale.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Actually works for litter box odor I have a kitten who refuses to cover her poop in the litter box (cat owners know how awful that smell can be). Even though I scoop the box multiple times a day, the odor would still travel through the upstairs and sometimes even downstairs. It was honestly exhausting trying to keep the house smelling normal. I decided to try these bamboo charcoal bags and placed them around the house: • 1 in the laundry room where the litter box is • 1 in the hallway • 1 in the living room • 1 in the kitchen They were delivered Wednesday morning around 9am. By the time my husband got home from work around 6pm, I asked him if he could smell the litter box and he said he couldn’t smell it at all. That alone sold me. The odor elimination is seriously impressive. Instead of masking the smell like sprays do, these actually seem to absorb it. The air in the house feels noticeably fresher and we’re no longer dealing with that lingering litter box smell. If you have cats — especially a kitten who refuses to bury their business like mine — these are absolutely worth trying!

The Six packets are well made and full. The S rings are good quality. Too early to tell the effectiveness.

We had lost power while on vacation and everything in the fridge and freezer spoiled and was sooo smelly. I had tried washing the fridge with bleach water, putting coffee grounds in both freezer and fridge, using a box of baking soda, and also a vanilla soaked cotton ball, but the terrible smell persevered. I finally bought these Charcoal Odor Absobers and they have done the job like nothing else. Thank you so much!

Rather then buy a new car I had a new engine put in. My mechanic had the car for a few months and when I got it back it smelled like a combo of oil and sweaty men. I couldn’t exactly be mad about it, but I sure wasn’t happy either. I mentioned it to a buddy and he suggested these charcoal bags. I purchased a six-pack of the 100 gram bags. I placed 3 of them in the car and let it be for 3 days. I was surprised at how much better the car was smelling, I let the bags do there thing for 3 more days and at this point I can’t smell any oil and 95% of the sweaty man smell is gone. I’m figuring at this rate it will smell completely neutral in another week. My buddy did me a big solid suggesting these, they really work. The alternative was to pay a couple hundred $ to have my interior shampooed and deodorized.
