ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL FOR CLAY SOIL
If you have clay ground, you will understand when I say that I have to EXCAVATE each weed individually in my garden. I have worked to amend the soil but it is slow going. I have the honkin' big green broad fork made by another manufacturer and use it often but I needed something a bit smaller and lighter. I was looking for a smaller version of the broad fork but decided to try this instead. I was somewhat concerned that the tines would bend instead of breaking the soil. I was surprised on two counts. #1- The tines are SHARP! They CUT straight down into the soil with a lot less effort than expected. #2- THAT extra metal bracket sticking out of the back of the fork acts as a lever for lifting the blocks of soil straight up. THAT is terrific for pulling out weeds with LONG tap roots! They don't break off: they come straight up... and out! Where would I NOT use this: Those sharp tines would probably not last very long in extremely rocky conditions. (I have a few small rocks, but not many.) I would also not use it as a pry bar from side-to-side. It is fine to jam on it and rock it front-to-back with all the force you wish. I was lifting and breaking 1" thick grape vine roots with it. But I think the tines would eventually bend if you constantly stuck it deep in the dirt and rocked left and right. It is similar to using a knife. You can press down with the cutting edge and it works fine. Try to pry a door open with it using a lot of side pressure and the blade might break. Don't get me wrong! This is a well made and durable garden tool. But it is designed to be as light weight, sharp and maneuverable as possible. That precludes using massive heavyweight materials designed to take constant abuse. I expect it to last for decades.

Solid and well constructed with excellent weight.
This has exceeded my expectations in every way! First off, the assembly was a breeze. It's solidly constructed, featuring comfortable rubber and foam grips strategically placed around the handle and shaft for optimum ease of use. The weight is just right – not too heavy to cause strain, but substantial enough to get the job done effectively. One feature that stands out is the excellent tilt bracket/step bar. It allows for generating more downward force when needed, making tough gardening tasks much easier. Plus, the bright color choice is a genius decision. Unlike green tools that tend to vanish into the foliage(hide and go seek anyone), this pitch fork is easy to spot whenever left in the garden or yard. For reference, I am 6 feet tall and the top of the handle stands about my beltline when resting on hard concrete and standing vertically. It’s an ideal height for comfortable use without constant bending. I've primarily used it for loosening and removing small rock debris and roots, as well as general soil loosening, and it has proven to be incredibly effective. In conclusion, this gardening pitch fork is an outstanding tool that has quickly become my go-to in the garden. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to make their gardening tasks a bit easier.

Excellent!
This works better than a motored rototiller though it may make your heart race a little until you get used to it. I have back issues and this helped me turn untilled soil and an overgrown bed that had compacted. for the price and efficiency this for is a great value and no assembly requires. Very Sturdy, though be careful of sideways torque, can be used to turn old beds or new dirt patches very versatile. The handle is solid and probably unbreakable. Could be just a little longer in the handle, but is no problem as is.

Great Garden Bed Flipper
Great tool. Breaks up soil like a tiller. Heavy duty, solidly built, really gets the job done. Makes flipping beds much easier. I am disabled by Osteoarthritis. I have two hip replacements and a shoulder as well. Deep till, breaks up compacted soil, and lifts pesky small rocks out of the garden. Great functionality.

Beefy and works well
A well made garden fork that should last years. Only concern is products overall weight - it is heavy vs others. I am 5' 10" and I wish the handle was about 6" longer for me. Fork came well packaged and ready to use. The support bar provides great leverage on digging. Tines are sharp and go into hard ground pretty easy compared to other forks we own. For value this is a great buy.

Solid little bih
This is so solid for a small garden setup. I didn’t need a massive one because I’m just in my backyard plot, and this has been perfect. We have heavy clay soil with a number of rocks and it’s done fantastic so far. Been working with it about 5-6 times so far and no issues. I was a bit worried because I saw some with bent forks but no problems. There is a temptation with this one to twist a bit, and I feel some weakness in it when twisting is unavoidable. I’ve made a point to not twist or turn at all with it. Just down and then back and forth movement does the job. Amazing little mf

Absolute menace to soil!
Lightweight perfectly sized for what it needs to do. I tore up a 30x5 rectangle for a garden bed in less than 5 minutes. I hit some old concrete in the ground I did not know was there and the tines held up without bending or breaking even crushed through the concrete a few times! Cannot recommend enough!!

This is one of my favorite gardening tools, especially if you have rocks in your soil
My first evil pitchfork was so perfect for my garden here in Pennsylvania. If you go down 2 inches give or take an inch you will run into rocks and lots of them and this pitchfork you can tilt in several directions with your feet and get around those rocks and lift them up. It’s also perfect for the clay soil in this area. I do a lot of gardening and landscaping in my yard and my first pitchfork lasted a good eight years or so once I found it eventually one of the tongs got bent, but never broke off considering how many rocks it hit I was amazed it wasn’t sooner. Anyway, I bought a second one because it’s a must have equipment for Gardner in Pennsylvania. I have also had many Neighbors borrow it when they have one or two plants they wanna dig a big hole for they don’t need the expense of buying one of their own one I have one available.
