Westinghouse 77015 Fan Blade Balancing Kit

Worked great. I moved into a house with a really bad fan. Followed all the instructions to check blade height and angle, then installed the kit as instructed. Before the fan couldn't even be used because it was so shaky. I've still got the chain wobbling a little, but I'm ok with it given the fan probably needs to be replaced and this is just buying me a few years. But the kit seems like it'd last as long as the life of a fan as well.

Product was as expected. This is a very basic kit and helped resolve my basic ceiling fan balancing issues. My only issue is that the clip gripped the blade so tightly that it was a little hard to put on and remove. Otherwise, the balancing kit was great.

Very easy to use! I managed to fix a clicking fan that was in our bedroom all by myself without any knowledge of how to do it before reading the directions. I had asked my husband if he could do it for a year an a half...and finally one night I ordered this thing for a few dollars and in two days it arrived to my door. Simple directions. Basically systematical trial and error until you figure out where to put the weight on the blade to stop the clicking! In just two tries of locations, I'd say I fixed the fan to about 99% satisfaction. :) With a little more trial and error I could get it perfectly silent.

Honestly，the clip is suck! It breaks at the very beginning due to the unflexiable material. Fortunately, I know the tricks - test the blade with the weight pad one by one, and finally got the thing done. Not recommand the first time user to buy, unless your fans blades fit the clip(I believe most of the fan blades don't). Price is the only reason I order when I read the negative reviews from others.

This is an inexpensive and easy way to solve most fan balancing issues. For the price, you can't go wrong. I do suggest that before you purchase this, verify the cause of the balancing is not caused by missing washers under the head of fan mounting screws. Missing hardware can cause the fan blades to wobble and if missing those cardboard-looking washers under the head of the mounting screws can cause the fan to create lots of noise.

This kit was junk! I tried to put the u shaped part of the balancing kit on the blade and was having problems because of lack of flexibility. I also was worried about defacing the fan blade. When I finally got the part on started on the fan blade, it snapped in two pieces. I called my son who had just purchased several fans from Home Depot and asked him if he had any balancing kits left. He gave me one. He showed me the equivalent part that broke on me, and it was very flexible and and easy to use. The part that broke from this set looked like it had crystallized and had zero flexibility.

The Plastic balancing clip does is too thin and will not fit on most fan blades. I tried on three different fans in my house. The opening was too thin and when I tried to make it fit it broke. There is no flexibility in it. The weights work well though, but unless you have a balancing clip already this will do you no good.

First time I have tried to balance a ceiling fan and this product worked great. I followed the instructions and within less than 5 minutes I had the fan running on high without it wobbling.
