compatible with Mercedes Benz Review: Works Perfectly, must less expensive than OEM - I used this to remove a vent on my 2018 GLA. It works perfectly. It is well built and a quality tool mimicking the much more expensive OEM version, but perhaps even better since the handle is more comfortable offering better grip. If you are attempting to use it, follow the same instructions as those for the OEM tool (which has the same faults): Make sure you hook it in the right place, tug hard. real hard, make sure you use two hands to steady the unit so it does not fly away and make sure you put your finger on top of the tool in the vent so it does not unseat and scratch the inside of the vent. Why Mercedes could not figure out a better process is beyond imagining, but this tool gets the job done at a good price. Bonus -- I now have two of them.... I'll probably never need either again :) Review: Worked perfectly on my W203 - Used this on my W203 to remove the instrument cluster for the first time. I’m pretty experienced working on my own cars, but I still wanted the proper tool instead of improvising and risking damage to the dash. These hooks fit correctly and made the job simple. Insert, apply steady pressure, and the cluster comes out cleanly. No broken tabs, no cracked trim, no drama. For a first-time removal, it couldn’t have been easier. The tool feels basic, but that’s exactly what you want. It does the job the way it’s supposed to. If you’re working on a W203 and need to pull the cluster, just buy the correct tool. It makes the process quick and controlled. Highly recommend.

Use only one at a time.
Works well enough. However, although two two are included don’t be tempted in insert two at the same time. Because of the tight clearance between the dash and the instrument cluster, inserting two at the same time can cause pressure against one of the top shafts causing a crack or break in the instrument cluster lens. Pull out one side at the time until it clears the dash.

Work great for my GLA vents
10 stars for me. It does the job well, very light but very sturdy.

Exactly the things in the picture
To be fair, I haven’t actually used them yet. But they’re exactly like the last set I had before that tweeker Jeff ran off with them. They go into the vent/dash release slot and allow you to get at that hidden gold behind the dashboard on *most* modern Mercedes. At least, that’s what Jeff told me was back there… I still don’t have any proof because he grabbed them before I could even try. Hoping for better luck this time. (He doesn’t know I ordered another set)

Good, needs more angle
Had to hammer the end to a 90 degree angle to grip the air vent properly

Makes Life So Much Easier
Makes removing a Mercedes 300D dash a breeze. I bought a second set after having misplaced the first. A side benefit recently discovered is using them to pry up the tabs on car stereo head unit mounting brackets for easy removal. I'll buy them again after I inevitably lose this set.

I will say they are kind of flimsy but they do the trick getting into your radio or vents!

It’s too soft -unable to use

The metal is so soft it just bends, it will not grip anything. You are better off using a coat hanger and making your own hooks. It will be stronger.
