‘Why Me? Why Not.’ was written by Liam with producers Andrew Wyatt and Greg Kurstin, and recorded in Los Angeles and at RAK Studios in London. Wyatt and Kurstin previously contributed writing and production to Liam’s all-conquering debut solo album ‘As You Were’, and Liam was keen to get even deeper with them this time. As a result, ‘Why Me? Why Not.’ is a clear upgrade on ‘As You Were’ but not a radical departure. LG promises,“It’s a better record than As You Were,” which is saying something, as that was epic, wasn’t it?” The first single ‘Shockwave’ (out now) erupts into life with an indelible riff which channels The Who and T. Rex, before Gallagher bursts in on the unrelenting hook with his signature venomous punch. It’s the first new music from Gallagher since his chart-topping 2017 solo album debutAs You Wereand the first taste of what’s to come from his forthcoming second album, Why Me? Why Not. Review: Gallagher proves his solo prowess shines brighter than big brother's - Didn't think he could top AS YOU WERE, but he did and then some. WHY ME? WHY NOT is a near-perfect record from the voice of Oasis. The record kicks off with "Shockwave" a stomping rock track that holds all that Liam swagger. That is followed by a trio of AMAZING songs: "One of Us" is beautiful, heartfelt, and perfection. Certainly inspired by his missing Noel, but also looking at family and friends and missing his old band. "Once" also touches on these themes, as I'm sure Liam himself knew solo or otherwise, reaching the absolute heights of Oasis would never happen again. This song is missing one thing-a great guitar solo. "Now That I've Found You" is about Liam reuniting with his formerly estranged daughter, Molly. It is another surprisingly beautiful tune. "Halo" features an old, 50s-60s vibe and is fun, "Why Me? Why Not?" is another swagger tune, as is "Be Still" The last of the great tracks is the very 90s feeling "The River" The other three tracks on the record are good, but not as standout as the one mentioned above. Overall, WHY ME? WHY NOT is a five-star jam that deserves a place just behind my favorite three Oasis records. DEFINITELY MAYBE, WHAT'S THE STORY, and DON'T BELIEVE THE TRUTH. Easily better than anything either brother has produced (together or apart) outside of that set. If you miss Oasis, grab this record. Review: Parka Tops Potato - Wayyyy better than what Noel is putting out these days. More a logical direction of where Oasis could have ended up, stylistically, had they stuck it out and gotten back to what made them great. Guess they didn't need to tho, Liam is doing a SOLID job on his own. Sure, it's not really breaking any ground, and is a bit cheesy at times, but the tunes are solid and all are great. An album you can listen to front to back and over an over. Shockwave sounds A LOT like BRMC's spread your love, but it's only rock n' roll so whatever.

Amazing Rock n Roll
Love this record better than the first & I was blown away by the first. Liam Gallagher is the epitome of a rockstar. Former frontman of Oasis, the songs are similar but have a unique style. Highly recommend- I hope there is a third solo record from Liam Gallagher.

good but not great
a good album, a great vibe, got a few great tracks on it, but he has a long way to become a great songwriter, shadowed by noel.

Another great album front to back!
At first I was bummed because they sent me a warped vinyl, but then they sent me a replacement, and the replacement was this cool colored vinyl! Cool as heck! The vinyl sounds great. Very good mastering and pressing quality. Liam Gallagher keeps putting out bangers! Way better than his potato bigger brother.

It's only Rock n Roll.........
Straight ahead guitar driven Rock n Roll.........Excellent arrangments and songs........Played by a more than capable band...........And of course fronted by Mr Gallagher singing with conviction and attitude the vocals on every track are exceptional as is the entire album. Well done Liam........As you are.

Liam Does it Again
A great album to follow up As You Were. Why Me? Why Not. refines the formula that worked so well with AYW, and adds a variety of different sounds to keep things interesting. My record does have a few minor scratches that are audible at times, unfortunately.

Great sophomore album/Vinyl
Great album. Great songs. Slighly different from the first but not much. Smart. Many artists try to change the format too soon and end up losing half of their fans. This is not the case here. Love it. What we see here is a man reclaiming the peak of his career. BUY THS ALBUM.

. Sehr schön. Genau wie die Alben seines Bruders.

You can hear all sorts of influences in the songwriting but Liam's voice is strong and distinctive; h'es such a compelling rock'n'roll performer. Good variety of songs and arrangements. Plenty of strong melodies and hooks. I bought this on a hunch and am really enjoying it.
