Very good book for an overview of business strategy. Provides some great concepts and offers plenty of diagrams that can be applied to many situations across the board.There are no straight how to books on business strategy. It is a theoretical concept. This book is great at helping you consider all the major variables that drive situations and strategies.Highly recommend it.

Great book for those who have a business background. Some of the concepts could get a bit confusing but you can always google what you don't understand to get a good understanding. My professor is using it as a base for Strategic Management class.

This is a very useful guide in developing business strategy, which you could plam and implement it step by step!! I just scanned it and not finish yet, so..I can't give any further comment, but somehow I do keep it in my briefcase and read it during my lunch time..!! Don't miss it!!

Dry writing, very old-school in its tone, to the point of muddying its intended message at times. In the age of smart, sharp, digestible business books ("The Lean Startup" comes to mind), not to mention all the interactive online resources now available, I found this book to be a little dusty. However, that's not to say the information is totally obsolete. For me, this book falls in the category of "good to have," but will I read it again? I'm not sure -- I'd probably find myself going online instead.

A strategy book in the Competencies school of thought. It does a good job of covering other schools as well, which makes the book a well balanced strategy book that helps create a good frame of mind when developing strategy for your company.
