Proper Nutty Smunchy Peanut Butter Nowt but Nuts (Multipack 2x1kg)

Absolutely love this stuff — I’ve got it on monthly subscription now because I never want to run out. Perfect texture: not too smooth, not too crunchy, just that proper “smunchy” in-between. The flavour is rich, slightly salty, and just feels like real peanut butter — nothing added that doesn’t need to be there.Stirring it the first time takes a bit of effort (as with any natural PB), but it’s worth it. Great on toast, in porridge, or straight off the spoon.If you’re into proper peanut butter without the nonsense, this is the one.

Proper nutty would be a perfect definition of myself. However this review is for the real Proper Nutty Peanut Butter made here in the UK by a great team of fellow peanut butter connoisseurs.I purchased the 2kg pack of the unsalted version and was very pleased with the value for what you get. Very pleased to see high quality manufacturing practices used to make this delectable peanut butter and great to see Proper Nutty lead the way in raising the standards of peanut butters on the market today.Ingredients are simple just high oleic peanuts which are the king in terms of the peanut variety as they are higher in monounsaturated fats like olive and avocado oils yet lower in omega 6 oils which we get in standard commercial peanut butters most of which source from China that have other potential problems.Having taken the best peanuts available , they are well roasted not overdone so no burnt taste just lightly roasted to bring out the aroma and flavour of the peanuts. The texture is different you'll find in most peanut butters as you notice it's labelled smunchy, more crunchy than smooth and not runny like you would get in a smooth peanut butter which you might want to bear in mind. Taste wise it's spot on, lots of flavour and depth with a nice consistency yet if you did want that extra punch I'd recommend the salted version which would give it that extra kick of flavour if desired.Overall highly recommend, tins are sturdy and the lid is well secure. One tin minor dent which I did not worry about, great peanut butter that we please most so worth the money if you decide to purchase and added bonus being made in Yorkshire helps support a British business.

Amazing peanut butter

Very sadly, a once great product when manufactured in Yorkshire, but, following sale of the company to British Sugar Plc and a production move to Peterborough, the quality has gone sharply down hill. Two tins ordered directly from Proper Nutty last year were basically slurry with no texture to speak of. The contents of two tins I ordered via Amazon (hoping that problem with the previous order was a one off) were completely separated into oil and (very solid) solids - impossible to mix back together and therefore un-spreadable.

The taste is great - definitely my go to peanut butter. And usually a good price at Amazon. Sometimes need a bit of a stir to mix the (natural) oils in & is quite stiff - but this is a good sign that it's 100% peanut!!The only issue I have - as others have said - is damaged tins arriving; on my last order (of 2 x 1kg tins) both lids were loose & had leaked product out, also contaminating the packaging. As it's food stuff, I didn't want to risk eating once the seal is broken. Amazon provided great customer service - as usual - and provided a refund. When I reordered, this time 1 of the 2 tins also had a loose lid. Again, I had to dispose of this & again, Amazon provided refund. All 3 tins disposed of were from the same batch so maybe a fault with the manufacturing? A shame to waste 3kg of food in the bin. If the supplier can sort out securing the lids properly, then it's a no brainer to get this. As it is, despite the great taste, I'm a little put off ordering more due to the waste & (admittedly small) hassle of having to arrange a refund.

This is the most delicious peanut butter. Crunchy but not too thick or dry, with a touch of saltiness.But on two occasions the packaging was poor ( and perhaps the courier too careless), resulting in dented tins and peanut oil all over everything in the delivery box, soaking through the delivery box and on to my floor.The product itself though - once replaced by Amazon with better-packaged ones - is superb.

This is amazing. I eat a keto diet to avoid diabetes & other diseases in later life and like to make a dark chocolate, coconut oil & peanut butter treats. Been looking for the perfect but reasonably affordable pb for a very long time. It seems I've found it with the 'Propr Nutty company'!Smunchy Peanut Butter is the ideal consistency. A little oil rises to the top but it's easy to mix back in without being too runny, or too "cement like". It tastes creamy with a natural, slightly sweet & slightly salty flavour. Absolutely perfect, no nasty additives and I LOVE the steel tins it comes in.Highly recommended, very tasty, healthy, top quality product!
