Professional Acrylic Medium, Matt Medium, 250ml (8.5-oz)

Used this to make airbrush thinner. Works great, have yet to use it for painting but I'm excited to give it a go. Definitely buying again.

I am not professional but have considerable experience with W&N matte varnish at least when airbrushing. In August 2021 I completed preparation of a middle earth poster (also purchased from Amazon) that came with a very glossy finish. After mounting but before framing I airbrushed the poster's surface with W&N matte varnish. The varnish removed the gloss making the map look more realistic. I took a photo with my cell phone (without flash) to show the effect. The left side of the map is how the entire poster actually looks to the eye. The right side of the map is a natural light bloom in the room . The important thing to note is how this skimming light is effectively scattered as it should be with a matte finish. I use this W&N varnish whenever I want a truly matte finish as was also done on this large model airplane. The photo was taken in bright sun and the matte varnish provided the desired dull military like finish while also eliminating any bright reflections. Again I only have airbrush experience with this varnish. When using it in this way a flow improver (also W&N) is - I believe - necessary. The varnish's viscosity and fast drying capability will clog up the airbrush without the flow improver. Also the varnish needs to be properly atomized for application and the flow improver does the job here as well. I add the improver to the airbrush cup in a mix with the varnish. The amount is best learned through experience. I set the airbrush pressure at about 30-35 psi. When airbrushing a little varnish goes a long long way. One additional note is that I have found the varnish to dry "clear" - that is not yellowing or changing the color of the underlying acrylic. (My experience seems to conflict with some other observations.)

Love the gesso. It's been doing exactly what I want with my mixed media art. Only problem I have had was with the container. The tub slid off my table and cracked open pretty badly when it hit the floor. So be careful if you are clumsy, have an uneven smooth work surface or pets.... The cat immediately jumped in the puddle that poured out so had to clean up the cat as well as the floor. I have transferred all the gesso into jars so hopefully it doesn't get wasted.

I took up paint-by-numbers recently and was struggling with paint drying out as well as coverage issues. I was amazed when I started adding this to paint. A few drops in each mini tub of paint works miracles to guarantee better coverage. I really don't know how this works but instead of thinning the paint, like when I added water, it seems to thicken it making covering numbers and lines effortless now. Wish I could go back and redo all the paintings I've done before I used this product. Now I'll just have to buy my favorites again and make them better. The smoothness of the paint and the color sustainability is absolutely wonderful! This size bottle should last a very, very long time and I couldn't be happier!

I bought it to keep the canvas damp for my acrylic paints as they dry so fast. That didn’t work. So I used it to paint over dry, finished paintings to seal the artwork, as the bottle description states. Now I absolutely love this product. It gives a gloss to my finished paintings and I typically paint ocean/water scenes so it really makes the pieces pop. Some reviews mention it being a little pricey but all quality items should be priced accordingly, so, you get what you pay for - and this is worth every penny. Highly recommend!

So far, this product mixes just great with Acrylic paint. Note: It does not alter the color of the original pigment at all. Also, it will prevent the Acrylic from drying as fast, so you need to allow it to set up on the canvas a little longer than if you had not used Flow Improver. Nice.

Windsor & Newton è sempre una buona marca —non ho niente male a dire del prodotto, ma invece di Amazon. Il titolo non è chiaro. È scritto 237ml ma mi hanno spedito 225ml. Cambia il titolo.

Cercavo gesso acrilico BIANCO invece è trasparente. Colpa mia. Per non fare il mio errore consiglio di leggere attentamente la desizione (Clear = trasparente, non "chiaro" come pensavo.. LOL). In ogi caso è un pò troppo liquido rispetto ad altre marche (Es. Maimeri, Pebeo..)

Un po' piccolo ma fa il suo lavoro, veramente facilità e velociza il togliere la pittura vecchia

Buena calidad y produjo un buen acabado que es bastante resistente. Lo usé para reparar una guitarra y lo recomiendo encarecidamente.
