No alternative...
It does what i says, and there is no alternative...thus the outrageous cost...this is specifically designed to combine a Fat Gecko 2 way and single mount together...Buy the 3 way mount to start with and save the cost of having to buy this item separately..

Perfect for single or dual suction cup Delkin mounts, mix and match for your purposes
Perfect for mixing and matching Delikn suction cup mounts or articulating 3/8 thread mounts.I used this to combine two dual suction cups fat geckos into a quad, and also to mount to GoPros next to one another on the same arm of a dual suction cup Delkin fat gecko (with a 3/8 thread from home depot, $1). Also have used it for attaching a Zoom H4N to the same suction mount as a gopro to have high quality audio situated at the camera.At $10 I bought three for the 4 dual cup mounts I have,

I ordered the wrong size but it is a quality steel product and the return was totally hassle free.

Very versatile product
Works great for adding a third cup to my two-cup Gecko. I also have used it for attaching a motion camera to other mounts. Very versatile and useful product.

Die super Ergänzung für längere Stativarme
Vor einigen Jahren kaufte ich den Fat Gecko Doppelsaugfußstativ für Fahraufnahmen usw. aber musste feststellen, dass die Aufnahmen leider zu verwackelt waren. Je weiter die Kamera/der Camcorder vom Stativ entfernt war (also vom Montagepunkt), desto verwackelter und instabiler war das Ganze. Lange gab es bei Delkin keine Erweiterung für das Statib bis eben diese Steckerhalterung aufkam. In Verbindung mit dem Mini Saugstativ (http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B002K8Q0EU) sind selbst lange Ausleger nun stabil und laufen einwandfrei. Jetzt kann ich mich an bessere, stabilere und klarere Aufnahmen (egal ob Fotografie oder Videografie) machen...

Good quality, but expensive item.
As the title says, very expensive item for what it is however it's essential if you want to connect 2 dual suction mounts or a single to a dual. It's a quality piece and works well but i think it should come with the dual mount, even if it pops an extra £2 on the price as £15 is just a little too much. 1 star off for the price.
