It depends on what you mean by medium cookies! Certainly the 3/4 oz is perfect, I think. That being said, the size 60 is also perfect. The 3/4 oz is probably the best size for say, chocolate chip cookies WITH nuts but the size 60 works too. Do not buy a CHEAP ONE....they break and stick and don't work. The Vollrath is very good and the Good Grips is good too. DO NOT BUY CHEAP crappy ones.

What scoop size is best for Jumbo Muffins?

Hi. Depends on what you consider Jumbo. I use a #12 (green handle) for big muffins in my USA pans. If you are talking the huge silicone muffin cups, then I would have to use about 1/3rd more scoop with the size 12. Since that is the largest disher I have, I cannot answer properly but hope this will help as a guideline.

Hi, I have #8 Grey and #12 Green Vollrath scoops. Grey holds 1/2cup, and Green holds 1/3 cup. Using water for measure, see how many ounces go into your cupcake liners first. These are great scoopers.

How would this hold up to scopping chilled/hardened cookie dough?

I chill all of my cookie dough. Some cookies are a tad difficult at first, but the dough softens up. Seems like my chocolate chip cookie dough gets stiffer than oatmeal. It's a tough scooper.
